Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 works SPDIF AC3 and DTS passtrough but ...

Hello,
I have Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 SB0100 and use that driver: PAX-NewYear2005 + YouP-PAX-VI v2.2 and card is connected to my amplifier with AC3 and DTS decoder via SPDIF passtrough mode. With this driver works ok AC3 passtrough, music and sound are very good quality, but doesn't work DTS audio passtrough transfer - transfered PCM signal didn't decoded by amplifier ;(

I found last week this modded by YouP-PAX installation image Audigy4Pro-YpoauxP.iso from Audigy 4 card. With this driver works ok all aplications and driver from this installation image on SB Live! 5.1 and via SPDIF works good AC3 and DTS audio passtrough with 48 khz and 44,1 kHz sampling (SPDIF Test from AC3filter works ok for 48 kHz and 44,1 kHz DirectSound Support too), but sound and music quality are very poor, while listening to music in FLAC format scratchy, the sound stops for a split second sometimes, the quality of bass is a thin.

Can someone with expert colleagues could perform the modification this driver from Audigy4Pro-YpoauxP.iso how YouP-PAX does in YouP-PAX-VI v2.2 driver - music and sound are very good with exellent bass!

Links for download compressed (250 MB) image Audigy4Pro-YpoauxP.iso :

Pending the modified drivers ...

Ok, I tested Yours driver, works fine, music and sound are very good quality, but DTS Audio passtrough mode doesn't work too ;-(. AC3 passtrough mode works OK. Problem is the same that in YouP-PAX VI 2.2 driver. I checked with Yours driver SPDIF Test from AC3filter and response is:
Code:
DirectSound test:
  48000Hz support: YES
  44100Hz support: no
  32000Hz support: no
Driver from Audigy 4 modded to works with SB Live! 5.1 with DTS passtrough works ok when I checked in SPDIF Test from AC3filter responded:
Code:

DirectSound test:
  48000Hz support: YES
  44100Hz support: YES
  32000Hz support: no
Perhaps the problem lies in the frequency of PCM frames?

Reards,
Tom

The DSP chip is fixed at 48000 on the live! card, anything else needs to be resampled, and everything goes through the DSP on the Live! This is true for the 10k1 chip on the Live! and the 10k2 Audigy chip also, I believe...... so there is a hardware limitation that some drivers can get around via resampling but not all drivers were written to do this. I'm thinking this is what you're running into......
