Some serious driver loading problem

Hello all, i havent posted for some time, since i had solved all of my problems with my x-fi gamer (X-FI Gamer VS 975x?)

Now, i have upgraded my system with a i7 950, Gigabyte X58A-UD3R, and 6gb of ram.

I have formatted my hard drive, and tried to install the PAX drivers v1.10.
I have also disabled my onboard sound card just to make sure it wont cause any problems.

The installation of the drivers progresses, asks me to install an unassigned driver, click yes... after 20 seconds the system freezes completely, my numlock key doesnt work on the keyboard, not even the hardware reset button. I have to turn it off by holding down the power off switch on my case.
When windows loads up, they freeze while showing me the win7 logo.
I pull out the card and windows boot normally.
I am really tired of this sound card, if by any chance any1 knows whats causing this problem and is sure about it please let me know.

Thank you!

Do you have your device id? I want double check. You might want disable windows driver sign in F8 let me know if that works better.

Re: Some serious driver loading problem

Hello Robert, thanks for your reply. My device id is {4d36e96c-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318} . I have updated my motherboard's bios, downloaded and installed only the driver dated 22/10/2010. It works ok for now, ofcourse i dont have volume control panel or anything else, what should i do to install only the applications leaving the driver, which now works, intact?

Thanks

Re: Some serious driver loading problem

Robert, have a look at this, i have this problem in Ventrillo, which makes my audiodg.exe file grow to about 4gb
When i have the "clicks" enabled, which means that everytime my mic is used, ventrilo will call a .wav to let me know im currently speaking, everytime the sound plays, i lose about 1.5mb of ram. After 2 hours, my memory is gone !
I have to disable the clicks in Ventrilo and it stops doing it

A memory leak issue occurs in the Audiodg.exe process when you play audio on a computer that is running Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008

The microsoft fix didnt solve the issue of course. Also i have found users in other forums that have the same issue
Do you think you can fix it ?
