Good news. Let's hope he was as important leader as US claim (some say his influence is overestimated) and there will be less killing in Iraq.

Awesome.. one more heartless animal burning in hell.
Would have been nice to send the scrumbag there on 6/6/06 (not even sure why?)- but oh well. Today is a fine day for more murderous terrorists to die, especially one of the leaders. Terrorists, rapists, and pedophiles have no place on this earth. USA, the world - 1, terrorist - 0. EDIT been watching the coverage... Awesome news for the Iraqi people too, cannot forget that. They are taking control of their country. The insurgency and AlQueada took a huge blow.

It's all about moral, wich is surely low. Killing him is good but it would have been far better to tae him alive. To put him to trail, then to death. It would demoralise his movement and loose it suport. . Important people in terror we would rather have you think thier dead. So the intel they hold "stays good" other wiseplans and things change. Though I think they did kill him. There is alway that remote possabilty Non the lest it boosts the moral there in IRAQ for the troops and goverment.

about time they got that POS. while i dont beleive it will stop terrorism, i do beleive if they can kepp bumping of the leaders it will slow them down. plus their 'smarter' people will be less willing to step up to the plate.

Yeah the thing is, if we can capture, kill, the big ones... and they are all as nasty as that animal was, the Iraqi people will take care of it themselves- then we can leave.
I saw a lot of dancing in the streets, etc.. I don't think they like getting blown up anymore than anyone else.

Well, as said in the movie Munich (im gonna butcher this, but hopefully get the point across), when you remove leaders of radical groups, others who are worse, and more terrifying will rise up in their place. If we remove the smarter ones, then the less intelligent ones take leadership, and it's shitfest all over again.
Don't get me wrong, i am happy that this ass is dead, i spent a good month trying to find information to find this guy. It's a huge moral boost to our troops, i know, i talked to some of my boys over in the sandbox today. It's just one vicious cycle sadly..... |

Yes, I posted a note over in Off Topics as I thought it would get more attention there. I think Neon and I posted at about the same time.
![]() I, for one, am elated that this monster is gone forever. It didn't take him very long to realize that there weren't 12 virgins waiting on him.

yeah it helps but it doesn't guarantee anything. If we got Usama and all the other ones, that would mean the insurgency would be gone. The Iraqi peeps are going to have to get their shiznit together and take care of those people.

Amazing that he lived for a while after the bomb went off! It doesn't seem possible, but it's true.. he even tried to escape, mumbled something.. Rolled off the stretcher.. etc.. Then died.
After seeing that explosion (huge), it is hard to imagine someone surviving at all- for any amount of time.

What I meant by that was that we don't have much time until the American voters start to get impatient.. and vote for someone who's campaigns on a quick exit.
We won't be over there is such great numbers 3 years from now.. What I meant was things really need to start shaping up for the Iraqi government.

I, for one, am quite elated that the last memory this monster had was the image of a US soldier coming after him.
