Jackass script kiddies: (war on iraq)

Nomadness.net has been mutilated, apparently. As of 8:55 Mar 24.

The front page is overrun with anti-war/ anti-Bush slogans.

I am certainly a pacifist but this is ridiculous. Why the hell did someone do this to a Audiophile forum? Like they have anything to do with the war!

Well i think that if you are gonna go rogue on some nation or protest something, you can at least do things sensibly. This is just crap.

Anyway, just adding fuel to the fire. (sorry)

They did it because they could - like most hackers. Its just a platform for them - but not a very good one.

Hmmm, It's not like i am against all forms of hacking. I certainly get a kick every time the RIAA gets blasted (sorry). But whoever the hell did that is not very good at logical thinking. I certainly don't see the reason why he picked *that* website. I can also see the person getting to the IRC via a public computer lab, so he/she would be safe. In any case i hope Nomadness.net is well again soon. (I also wanna know what server they were running :-P )

Would anyone be surprised to learn that some websites are hacked to make examples of vulnerabilities of the software or embarass the staff there, probably not, but when I worked at the Yokosuka library in Japan, I knew european hackers, that routinely made attempts to foil legitimate sites just to entertain themselves, sheesh...and they were successful too. I know this sounds Orwellian, but the government, our government monitors quite alot of activiity to see who is successful and who is not. Whomever hacked this site, surely is known to more than just his or her immediate self...All of this is spooky to me..

Great... another pre-teen hacker strikes again! Woohoo! (sarcasm) Well I'm up for giving this cheap n00b some prison time. I generally don't condemn hacking when done by good hacktivists (agains't RIAA, MPAA and oppressive countries or companies), but this one just blows. Anti-war slogans in a music/nomad based site. Come on! Anybody up to formatting this guys pc?
