Patriot act II

The next episode of this mindbending law is in the making.Written by the man who covers up classic nude statues in fabrics before being interwiewed in front of them in his own department.

If you are having problemns with the conclusions of this law written on this (probably)leftwing site...you just follow the links to the real stuff.

Actually, I seriously doubt Mr. Ashcroft wrote this law, considering he is not a lawmaker. It was probably drafted by Representative Sensenbrener, just like the first PATRIOT Act was. At any rate, I haven't had the time to really look over this law. Have there been similar laws drafted in Sweden? Most of the world passed similar legislation in the wake of 9-11.

I dont know of any democratic country in the world that has written similar laws due to 9 11.

These laws outperforms anything i have seen and heard about since the days of the cold war...and then im talking about the red side.

You are probably right about Ashcroft but he is responsable for it isnt he minister of justice?

Anyway..i figure this will have to pass in other instances than the ministry of justice before it is agreed to?

We seem to be falling into a world that resembles 1984 a little more everyday. I fear for the potential mistakes in judgement and possible abuse of this law by the powers that be. I'm not saying that a viable threat to a nation's security should not be monitered, but how many that are not a threat will be tagged and watched? And once a person is considered a non threat what will happen to the info gathered and how much of their privacy will have been violated?
