And if ever, Gore, compared to many other politicians, uses very little power proportionally. Don't compare him to poorer people than himself, compare him to others in his social level and you'll see, he isn't the anti-christ Fox News tries to make out of him.
People who do not practice what they preach are hypocrites, not leaders and sitting back in an ivory tower and pontificating to the masses is arrogant. I don't watch Fox News.

Others in Gore's social level are not urging us to do without for the greater good.
And why does social level have anything to do with saving the planet from a runaway greenhouse effect. If he is right, we will all die regardless of social station. If fact, the rich, users of more power, have a greater potential impact on carbon dioxide than poor people. Its the ones with 4 cars, a motorcyle, 2 jet skis, an airplane and three houses that can make a difference. Sounds like a Hollywood type to me.

In case you didn't know, the electricity service he subscribes to uses wind and solar power, and he purchases carbon credits for the other polluting power he does use (though I don't know how effective that is.) Also, he has recently installed solar panels for his home. So "do as I say, not as I do" does not apply here.

Al Gore is no dummy, misguided maybe but not stupid.

Yes, he buys carbon offsets. Much like purchasing Papal dispensations or buying your way out of the draft during the American Civil War.
http://www.u-s-history.com/pages/h249.html
"Once called, a draftee had the opportunity to either pay a commutation fee of $300 to be exempt from a particular battle, or to hire a replacement that would exempt him from the entire war."
Neither of which was a particularly ethical practice.

Gore buys carbon offsets from a company called Generation Investment Management LLP Go to this site http://www.generationim.com/ click on "about us" then "team" Notice who the Chairman and founding member is.
That's right!! AL Gore buys carbon offsets FROM HIMSELF. He is getting rich off his confidence game. Hypocrite is not a strong enough word.

Interesting to see a CEO of an investment firm as well.. Goldman Sacks

Washington is most likely filled with this sort of mentality...

Wrong. Generation Investment Management does not sell carbon offsets.
What GIM does do is buy carbon offsets to offset its own pollution, and also to offset the pollution of its employees, including Al Gore.
