Pissed Is Castro really worth it?

Now Fidel has sensed that his regime is ready for a change. he anticipates that his people might forment trouble and rise up against him, he has rearrested dissadents, and tightened his grip on his people again. This is madness. What is America's next step..

Well the next step should be action in the UN.I saw that there had been a very weak resolution againbst what he is currently up to.

Must have been accepted by the US too..? The weal resolution that is....

At the moment he should be put under pressure and i figure it would be fairly simple to do so..that is why i dont understand this "lame" resolution.

He executed a couple of hijackers.

Something i find disqusting...but still.......it falls in line of what many people generally think is reasonable punishment for terrorist acts....

Anyway..Castro hasnt got long time left.

Perhaps

His dementia has reached it apogee, his zenith, his final act before he succumbs to the inevitable...."Time is the fire in which we burn"

He has done the classic mistakes they all have done.....not loosening up at the appropriate time..

Its funny because had most of these dinosaurs done this...then they would have become legends for other reasons than opression.

In a different time

In a different place....but after they obtained missles from the cold war russian government, this island was thrust into the spot light and it's leader (castro) suddenly achieved a level of credibility he didn't deserve...I hope, god rest his soul...he passes soon.

Nothing, why because the Cuba is not doing anything wrong, Fidel Castro is not doing anything wrong at all.

Reguardless of what you may think Castro's Cuba is a better country than Batista's Cuba, back then there were American Mob in Cuba, there was Casinos, gambling, corruption, rich getting richer, poor getting ignored, massive racism, child molestations mostly from U.S. tourists visiting the island.

Cuba at the time acted the way it did to prove a point and that point was that they did not need U.S. help.

Those times have changed now, U.S.S.R. is different, the world is different, but Countries still have a right to Autonomy in whatever way they want, whether its having a Queen Monarch like Brittain's Queen Elizabeth, and the prince and princesses of Europe to a democratic country, to a dictatorship.

The world is different now, Cuba is a very different country than years ago, now there is free travel to that country, there is also trade of goods and Tourism.

However the problem is that the world is facing economic problems, Argentina's people held massive riots when their money lost value forcing many to be poor, in other South American countries and North American countries Jobs have been going to Canada, China and other parts of Asia forcing many Layoffs and people with out Jobs.

I know of a Family who lives in the Dominica Republic that moved back to the U.S. after the money used there lost its value and jobs were lost to Companies moving out of the Country as well as corruption from Goverment officials.

In Colombia there is unrest and Civil wars with massive loss of life, yet no one is paying attention to them, and you want the U.S.A. to waste its time trying to do something about an insignificant country like Cuba?

What does Cuba have that is so important? they do not have Oil.

There are people who live in Cuba that are trying to leave the country to come to the U.S.A. to live a better life, guess what EVERY OTHER COUNTRY"S PEOPLE WANT TO MOVE TO THE U.S.A. TOO!!!

ITs not just the Cubans, what, are they special?

Fidel Castro visited the U.S.A. many times during the 90s as he was invited to Rallies and Debates.

The only people that still hate Fidel Castro are the rich Cubans bastards that Castro kicked out of the Country in the days of the revolution and afterwards. Those same rich Cubans bastards are using their influence in U.S. goverment and media to constantly bitch and complain about Fidel Castro and Cuba.

You really should educate yourself and read the unbiased history to make a better opinion on the Cuba subject.

Do you think that the Florida vote count Fiasco was not a sign of corruption in the U.S. goverment?

Do you think that the Republican party is not run by Rich WASPS and is only interested in their agenda?

Do you think that Bush's Tax cut proposal is going to benefit the poor or the rich?

*In the news, or the popular media, Fidel has rejailed some people he set free, dissenters and book writers and professionals that he set free and granted amnesty to not too long ago...disturbing..*

* No disagreement there, the tales of debauchery and crime and human rights violations are legend..*

Cuba at the time acted the way it did to prove a point and that point was that they did not need U.S. help.

* I suppose you are referring to the bay of pigs? Or more recent events? the little boy in florida, returned to his father? Can you clarify?*

* you are using a broad brush to encompase all the viable governments of the world I suppose, but there are few countries that are truly autonomous anymore, that participate in the world political arena...including an oppressive regime like Cuba...*

The world is different now, Cuba is a very different country than years ago, now there is free travel to that country, there is also trade of goods and Tourism.

*cuba or Fidel for that matter, may have lost some of his fire, but his political machine is still in place, I think his greatest failure was not adapting to change, become stronger with his nieghbors including the U.S. Kennedy notwithstanding. We made mistakes, and Fidel was always worried about a 5th column effort in his own country, he lived in the United States and went to school, enjoying sympathy and support from patriotic americans until of course, he was double crossed ( depending on whose book you read). And trade and tourism, perhaps that will be the economic bridge that narrows the gap between Cuba and the free world...when he is dead and gone..

However the problem is that the world is facing economic problems, Argentina's people held massive riots when their money lost value forcing many to be poor, in other South American countries and North American countries Jobs have been going to Canada, China and other parts of Asia forcing many Layoffs and people with out Jobs.

*are you familiar with argentina's government before the current regime? things haven't been right there since after the second world war...*

I know of a Family who lives in the Dominica Republic that moved back to the U.S. after the money used there lost its value and jobs were lost to Companies moving out of the Country as well as corruption from Goverment officials.

*do you think socialism would work in the dominican republic? It might save the wildlife and the rain forests and hell even the looting of archealogical sites...*

In Colombia there is unrest and Civil wars with massive loss of life, yet no one is paying attention to them, and you want the U.S.A. to waste its time trying to do something about an insignificant country like Cuba?

What does Cuba have that is so important? they do not have Oil.

What cuba has is history, good weather, good food, good culture, good people, good beaches and damn good music, and did I mention good well.......entertainment of all kinds...and beautiful women...sorry digressing...anyway, they got it baby...just no personal freedom.*

There are people who live in Cuba that are trying to leave the country to come to the U.S.A. to live a better life, guess what EVERY OTHER COUNTRY"S PEOPLE WANT TO MOVE TO THE U.S.A. TOO!!!

*Hell yeh, let's keep the channels of communication open, Castro may be dead soon...*

ITs not just the Cubans, what, are they special?

*old thorn in the U.S.'s side, they still try their best to exert their control over their own definition of territorial waters, and we have Guantanimo bay as well, but getting rid of the combatents and sending them back home or putting them in a boat wouldn't bother me..*

Fidel Castro visited the U.S.A. many times during the 90s as he was invited to Rallies and Debates.

*yep, he even wanted to see his old address, old news bro..*

*WRONG A ROONIE BIG GUY lots of poor working class peoples that have relatives that died under Castros oppressive regime or are still in prison..*

You really should educate yourself and read the unbiased history to make a better opinion on the Cuba subject.

* you want to insult me? better put your little notes together, I am old enough to remember it, ha ha*

Do you think that the Florida vote count Fiasco was not a sign of corruption in the U.S. goverment?
*No just incompetence, it's everywhere man*

Do you think that the Republican party is not run by Rich WASPS and is only interested in their agenda?
*No some poor WASPs too, ha ha, Hell yes....RICH......WHITE.....CONSERVATIVE....AND.... POWERFUL....
lots of old money there man, It is amazing how many closet republicans are there when the wind blows their way*

Do you think that Bush's Tax cut proposal is going to benefit the poor or the rich?
*I believe it will benefit working poeple, not slackers, but there are enough of them already, How it is going to work is a mystery to me, very disturbing, Bush better come with a plan to create economic euphoria and correct the mistake his father made years ago, after a war..*
