Of the current candidates, who would you want as your President?

(Not necessarily who you would vote for in an election, but rather who you would want as Pres)

And what do you like about that candidate?

I'd like Joe Biden as President with John Edwards as his VP. As this point it doesn't look like either will get the nomination.

I picked Biden because he' honest and well spoken, he's not great for sound bites and that's a good thing. Edwards is probably as equally a good choice but I like Biden's track record and experience.

i voted obama because he is the only president that you can be sure with that wont act like bush.

I vote Rudy. Has way more experience then Hillary and Obama put together. I don't get why anyone who can't stand Bush thinks that Clinton would be any better?! What makes her qualified to run for President? She has done nothing for our country, let alone for the world, to be our President. If you have reasons why she should be President then tell me. But I don't see any reason for her to be even running.

I'd have to say Obama. He would be an excellent step forward in American history, considering black people weren't even allowed to use the same water fountain as whites 50 years ago. Plus (and this will sound completely racist and sexist at the same time, but believe me, I am neither), a black person will be president before a woman will. Don't ask me why, because intelligent people have no objection to who's "running the country" - but anyone who's smart enough to not judge others for their race or gender would know that the president doesn't really run the country anyways.

What scares me about Hillary is she's so good at being a politician that I don't even know what her real agenda is.

Does anyone else think it's likely that the end result of the elections will be a Clinton/Obama or Obama/Clinton Presidency? Or does she have someone else in mind as VP. A Black man and a white woman running together would be impossible to beat after the disastrous Bush reign of error.

I'd like Obama to win because he seems honest (what other presidential candidate has admitted to doing illegal drugs?), I agree with several of his opinions and, so far, he hasn't accepted any lobbyists donation.

I won't vote for Clinton because back in the 90's she was pushing for universal heath care then took a bribe to shut up. She also keeps changing her mind on what she wants. I hate to use the media whored term "flip flopper" but that's what she is.

I won't vote for Guiliani because I don't want a man whose entire campaign is based on fear. We've put up with it for almost eight years now I'd rather not see another four.

EDIT: I found an interesting site that breaks down each candidate... what they've vote on, what they've said, etc. Very informative and doesn't seem to lean either way. It's at http://www.ontheissues.org.

I would vote Arnold if it was possible. Since it won't happen i voted Obama. He seems like he doesn't stray from his talking points and is very honest about his life.
