And this is a suprise? Shucks, ole Hollis French, the guy that put the whole investigation together to start with, said that this was going to be the outcome long before it even started.

If that was an "investigation", I'm a Japanese Aviator.

Now, just a simple question here, since I'm a conservative, and according to the liberals 'not too bright'.

If she fired the guy because he wouldn't fire the trooper...why didn't the guy she replaced him with fire the trooper either?

I mean, if the issue was firing the trooper (who STILL hasn't been fired), wouldn't she have picked someone that WOULD fire him?

Just asking for some liberal who is obviously much smarter than I am, since I'm a conservative, to explain all off this to me

Frankly with the popular media scrubbing Obama and spinning him, and the attacks on McCain and Palin, you wonder who is going to get a decent shot at the executive office in DC. I have news for all of you, its all been done before, and sometimes the media over states or over emphasizes many things. The majority of tax paying and hard working Americans can see right through that crap and the Obamanzation of America might fail if the media keeps this up.

You know what I love about Republicans? No matter what the party does you guys don't hesitate to tow the party line. The minute Miss Alaska was paraded out they touted her qualities despite knowing next to nothing about her. No matter what shit gets shoveled your way ya'll will be good ole boys and fight tooth and nail to support it. You'll never back down and never give in...then years later when someone new comes along you'll turn on everything you stood for. You'll pretend you were fooled but really you only fooled yourselves.

I say this as a Canadian who has never voted Liberal.

Democrats aren't tripping themselves up over falsehoods Obama has uttered or delude themselves it never happened; only Republicans do this. I watched it happening for the entire Bush presidency and nothing has changed. Republicans never stood up and said "Enough of the lies". Ya'll took it all and asked for more until it became convenient to turn on him to get McCain elected.

There's one thing that I've become increasingly uncomfortable with and that's Obama has bought his way to the Presidency. He beat Hilary because his wallet was larger and now he's going leave McCain in his dust throwing cash around for massive chunks of airtime. It seems as if he's got more money than Bill Gates and he spends it like Warren Buffet.

How could any independent compete with that?

She had the right to fire, but her motivations were the ethics problem.

If you want a better perspective, Let's say your the manager of xyz, your sister gets pregnant by one of your workers, he's only "so-so" on the job. You fire him because of his refusal to pay for the cost of XX for your sister, but you also imply publicly you fired him for his SO-SO performance, aka, average. His performance was average but he is related to your sister, what fact do you think comes out more?

After listening to Palin speak and watching her limited airtime, I can only conclude that she is much better suited for smaller, more localized government than VP or possibly President.
In the beginning she seemed to be a breath of fresh air from the status quo....until she started speaking.

I'm sorry as hell...but I cannot vote for McCain/Palin.

And I agree that we need a third party option because Obama is not really a choice I want to make either.

Palins rise to power can only be attributed to the man she replaced. If you want the whole picture, look up Murkowski and Knowles and you will see a "evil of two lessers" situation as well.
In terms of the firing of an official, she was well within her powers to do so, even the unofficial version of the report, that was not endorsed either, condemned her for abusing her power, that has since been sorted in court.
But like all the populer left wing news posts we get here this is a fitting tribute to the popular media in general.
I personally dont care for Palin or her politics and shudder at the thought of a McCain/Palin administration, but the Obama/Biden alternative is equally as troubling.
nothing new here folks, just good ole American mud slinging.
now give me a whitehouse sex scandal anytime, or openly lying on national televsion, that makes the news a great deal more interesting.

Christopher Hitchens sums up what I think a lot of Americans are thinking now. Many who would normally vote Republican are forced to back Obama rather than support this mockery.
