Assisted Suicide (is it unlawful)

TV channel to broadcast assisted suicide - CNN.com

is it wrong or right?
should we be compliant to the wishes of the terminally ill?
should we look the other way and accept that it is a fact.
Good or Bad, do we have the right to stop someone from killing themselves.
If necessary, should we support and defend or abhor and reject.

there is a point in time where it's not so much assisted suicide, more like an enevitable wish to finish, complete.

In the articles position, it's quite obviously a reasonable circumstance. My father also wishes to not be artificially kept alive in the same situation. While there may not be pain physical, mentally being in such a state would be enough to kill him mentally. The body is meerly flesh and blood, a machine of sorts.

While unfortunately some people don't find other way they can continue productively, some people are just tired of it, done with it. That's respectible.

Of course thier is always going to be religious extremes that'll be screaming.

I listened to the brain trust on the BBC, etc. Chris Moyle, Alaister, etc. and watched the talking heads on tele and they all seem to express a wish to maintain propreity rather than confront the issue of assisted suicide. I know in many other cultures it is the right of the person who wishes to die to ask for help and they usually get it.
Watching it on tele is another thing entirely.

The articles I read on this one made it sound like some dude shot himself on live television and anyone who tuned in to see it is a sicko...this clearly isn't the case yet that's the reaction the establishment is having. I support assisted suicide because in many cases people are suffering and unable to take their own life; only religious mumbo jumbo gets brainwashes people into believing this act of mercy is a bad thing.

I think some people are worried this is going to lead to a 24/7 channel devoted to assisted suicides. AS IF! Okay, maybe in the UK that would fly those blokes will clearly watch any reality tv
