What fun! As Bush's presidency winds down, it appears some have decided they'd better let him know just what they think of him before they lose their chance. In this case, with a pair of shoes.

I read about this on one of the Arabic News channels. Mr Bush hair looked a bit ruffled, didn't actually see the incident so I thought he had taken a shoe to the face but unfortunately it was a near miss.

Damn, bush is seriously nimble for his age, he shows pro boxer like reflexes to dodge thoughs missiles. I like the sound of the would be attacker on the floor being given a stomping and squealing like a pansy.

Political stunt.

If Bush is as dumb as everyone says he is he'll need military personel to ochestrate any military attacks.

That guy should be throwing the shoe at the military co-ordinators. Bush as a target seems illogical to me if his reasons is for the war and subsequent ocupation.

bush might not be able to tie his own shoes.... correctly.... or within a short period of time..... but still he "says" yay or ney to generally everything...... either by himself, or he's told what to do.

I'm serprised there hasn't been wine, pies, condoms and other weird or unpredictable things launched in his direction from other countries......

snow ball to the face via some canadian resident would be pretty impressive.

It was a bit of both, cultural insult (the shoe) and freedom of speech (I think he shouted a few wods of 'criticism' at bush) It's not in US culture to throw your shoe at someone so it wouldn't have happened, maybe someone would have slapped a pie in his face or maybe a prison style concoction of urine, faeces etc. :P
