It isn't all about pissing off Israeli's, israelis can do a bit of pissing off them selves, both sides are as bad as each other, why make justifications for one side as if they have the right to bomb the shit out of the innocents on the other side?

Just because one side as the backing of the US and has real military hardware, it's ok for them to blow up people but because the other side have to make do with what they have to hand, that makes them, and only them wrong? There are no innocents here except the public on both sides, Palestinians and Jewish getting blown up but you only see one side of the story in the western media.

Arabs have no more entitlement to the lands there than jews. In fact, arabs have no more entitlement to Egypt (since you are there/from there) either. If you want the palestinians to get back more of their lands perhaps you would also want to give back egypt to the egyptians, whoever is left from them that is.

When modern Israel was formed, and asked for good peaceful relations with its neighbours, then all neighbouring countries refused they even existed and tried again and again to destroy Israel, to kill jews and to exterminate any signs of Israel. They lost lost lost every war. Israel kept asking for peace, muslims kept refusing them the right to exist and demanding for the destruction of Israel. Yet when Israel defends itself and hits back, then you yell how unfair it is. When you had Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Iraq attacking Israel at the same time, that was fair, right?
When for the last 6 months every day Hamas fires rockets at Israeli villages and town, then that is ok. When Israel says enough is enough and hits back at Hamas, oh then it is unfair again.

Territorial battles that have gone on for thousands of years really blur the validity of racial, cultural, religious or national arguments for killing the other guy and taking his or her land back.
Israeli's and non-Israeli people involved all seemed to agree, a solution, whatever that might be is long overdue.

Hamas was warned months before this air strike, they didn't halt rocket attacks, now they get what they asked for.

1) Israel provides Gaza with Water & Electricity, what country have you ever heard of supplying such services to an enemy state (?) ?.

2) If Egypt is so kind, why instead of pushing back Gaza citizens with bullets you don't open your frontiers ?.

Israel was invaded on our holiest day and yet still we pushed back the enemies back inside their countries, don't forget how the IDF almost entered in your capital city, and back then, we didn't have F-15i F-16's , smart weapons, advanced tanks etc...

Also, do you know how Israel got their first tanks? During the first arab israeli war, the israelites defeated the arab armies and the arabs in their retreat abandoned many many of their tanks. All the israeli had were jeeps with recoilless rifles on top for "heavy" mechanised force.

My head hurts whenever I try to wrap my mind around anything to do with Israel.

My first reaction to the media coverage is that Israel is (as usual) responding with unequal force but when I see that the rockets are still being sent into their country you can understand why Israel has a zero tolerance approach. Correct me if I'm wrong but if the Palestinian militants stop firing rockets into Israel there won't be any Israeli retaliation.

Since the truce was declared they have been sending Kassams // Grads into Israeli territory, yeah many of you would say they are harmless rockets because they didn't cause any death back then, but how many of you would enjoy to live under constant fear for almost 6 months. Every day at least 10 times you can hear a RED ALERT SIREN, you have around 15 seconds to hide inside the shelter or just lay yourself at the ground praying the "harmless" rocket won't fall close to you.

Honestly, imagine that.

This war will never end as long there are stone age Islamic extremists under the control of Palestine.

1)They kidnapped one Israeli soldier

2)We still provide them with water

3)We still provide them with electricity

4)We still have to permit access through our borders trucks with god knows what inside.

5)Even after all that, they still launch rockets to our southern cities and when we respond to that, we become the evil country in the middle east.

What always make me wonder is why Islamists always point to Israel being the "occupying" nation on their land, totally disregarding the fact that Jerusalem, the home of Judaism existed 3000 years ago, more than 1600 years before Islam even existed, historical president supports Israel as a state, NOT Palestine.

Anyway, this current conflict has been triggered by a belligerent militant group (Hamas) deciding that it would be a good idea to chuck rockets at Israeli civilians for the last 3 years, Israel may be going in hard, but then at least they are targeting military installations (And no, the fact that Hamas like to use a civilian smokescreen to make it look like Israel are playing foul does not wash).

I want all hostilities to cease, deaths on both sides needs to stop, as a UK citizen, I know exactly what the fallout of an occupation can cause (See Northern Ireland), and the ONLY resolution is PEACE. A FULL Cease-fire must be called from both sides, arms must be laid down, and a promise that no civilians will ever be deliberately harmed, by both sides be declared, now.

From there, Israel/Gaza needs to bring in UN Peacekeepers to secure the borders, open them for aid and assistance to the needy in Gaza, and for Hamas to stop being fucking militant bastards, accept Israels' existence, and work together for the peoples of both countries, rather than selfishly trying to achieve the impossible.

Think about it, all of the money used by Israel to currently pound the hell out of Hamas could have been better spent trying to help build a safer, peaceful Palestine, instead, due to militant pricks who have pervaded Hamas, the money goes to war, death, and hatred. When will people learn that war solves literally nothing?

you can't be serious.. You can't expect to leave a country, and then after 1000 years or whatever, come back and demand that you may live there instead of the people that settled there after you left.
The UN had no right whatsoever to tell the Israelis that they can live there, without proper discussion with the Palistines..

It is an awful complicated situation, because both parties think they have the right to live where they do, but none of both parties is justified to take arms and exterminate the other. And that is what happens now.
