Some States now have declared Sovereignty

This is really good news as more and more states start passing bills and whatnot that esentially prevent the feds from having any ability to do anything within those states beyond the realms of the constituation.

Currently sitting at a number of 29 states either declaring or already have declared.

Re: Some States now have declared Sovereignty

Few people know this but, Texas is the only state that can secede from the U.S. at any given time and become its own country. It is also the only state that fly its state flag even with the U.S. flag whereas others have to fly their flag beneath.

Re: Some States now have declared Sovereignty

this is what's very disturbing...... most of us canadians... know very little about our country..... our history.... and know more about the US's history and details then anything else...

so much so that it contridicts some of the history books that the US itself has...

from the british/canadians taking the white house and burning it down and then just leaving.... which is completely different from what majority of the us citizens know anything about...

Re: Some States now have declared Sovereignty

What? MORE stuff to read???

Unfortunately, the educational systems don't go quite deep enough to cover those topics in elementary or high school. University level history courses, though required mostly (two semesters worth...), are repeats and mildly additive to what gets taught in high school.

Most states require that a course in the history of the state in which the high school is located gets taught at the high school level, but the details of the other 49 states' history is not taught at all, or certainly never reaches the granularity of the dedicated state history class. Texans know Texas state history, North Carolinians know North Carolina history, and so on. Unless, like myself, you went to three different high schools in three different states (Hawaii, Alabama, North Carolina) and got exempted from the requirement by the school principal!

It's a niche market at the University level for those who have a genuine interest or need the information for their degree - relative to planning a career in law or politics generally - to earn a living.

I used to read encyclopedias, but had to give it up - bummer...
