Woman Arrested for Trespassing in Her Own Home After Bank Introduced Mortgage Scam

I first heard this over the radio yesterday .... this is not BS..... this is what's happening in many other places (one of which i've heard directly from the family as i know the father well enough)

heres a tidbit

Today, Hillsboro, Missouri police came onto her property and broke her door down to remove her from he More..r property near St. Louis. They used a battering ram to enter her home, despite her showing evidence in the past that she owned the property. She had gone to court previously and showed a judge the mortgage was paid in full, and it is a record of the court. However, these are desperate times for Wachovia who continued to threaten the 54-year-old woman.

I was waiting for the right-wing spin on this story and it didn't take long for it to kick in. First the caller herself goes off like a nutjob complaining about jobs overseas and "corrupt government" then we get a rehash at the end plus the obligatory fear mongering "This can happen to you." None of that has anything to do with her mortgage; I'm surprised she didn't throw in that Obama would take her guns next.

I don't know what happened with this woman, I want to believe she is in the right and is vindicated but I'm also suspicious (for example it is possible clerical errors have left her with false paperwork) because something doesn't sit right for me. I would like to see this story picked up by a major news outlet so there would be more facts and less feeling.

Yep. Everything is missing here.
No one is breaking any doors down without a court order.
If the woman can actually prove she paid the house off (cashed checks & statements from her bank showing the money left her account & went to a mortgage company) then no judge is going to sign off on such paperwork. I expect she has "something" showing paid in full, but I'll bet she doesn't hold the actual title to the property... Some crack pot most like that thinks that because of some clerical error then she is off the hook for a house she probably couldn't afford in the first place.

do a quick google on her name & city/state. No hits that are even half way reliable sources. Sorry I'll reserve my opinion until some credible source does a little investigation, finds out what the bank filed, finds out the details of her "court case", and finds out why her door was knocked down - how many attempts did the police make to calm extract this woman. Did she threaten the cops at some point perhaps. Speculation could go on forever. Show me somre proof.

Huh. I typed all that & actualled looked this up. Yup. I'm bored at work today. hehehehe

there is no left or right here, if something is repugnant or unfortunate or beyond any logical explaination or rational one either, does not mean there is a left or right wing bent, its just what it is, nothing more, regardless of who else is interested.
Banks have always been accused of strong arm or aggresive tactics regardless of who is in charge of the US government.
My question to you again, what do you know about right wing spin on anything?
And for that matter, a left wing spin?
Forget about Obama, what does anyone, if anything really know about this particuler situation.
I would, if I were keenly interested, find out more about the situation, but like debters and debt collectors, if one American or many suffer because of bad choices then it is on them, and far more difficult make a political argument about it.
I life in the UK now and I hear and read lots of stories about Bayliffs coming for you last pound because you were rendered insolvent for a bad financial choice, but it seems it is rarely spun against or for the labour party (for example)
