So some 'wingnut' (right wing wacko) wants 'God" to strike down Obama.
That's no different that the 'moonbats' (left wing wackos) that wanted to see George Bush dead. 02 July 2009 Smash Mouth Politics

Re: Right Wing Pastor Prays for Obamas Death...
The bigger irony, is perhaps that Obama has just taken many of the same policies GW pushed, getting even more "hardcore" about those ideas, and doing it with a charismatic charm. - Yet people love him, and hated Bush.
I've said it many times... John Jay, Federalist Papers 64 - "Brilliant appearances often mislead as well as dazzle." Obama's a pretty face and warm voice that can't understand the fundamental dichotomy of freedom and organization. - His charisma is often mistaken for intelligence by people who seem to believe that the solution to their current economic strife is an "invisible hand" from the government. Sad shame is, the common ground between religious conservatives and modern liberals is that same presumption - "The government should fix the problem for me." Ironically, the idea is completely contradictory to every principle this country was founded on, and is the exact same concept that fostered Fascism in Germany. Fastest way - Economically Disenfranchise the middle class, and get them praying for a leader to fix the problem for them. - That's how the Nazi's came to power and that's how... ![]() I don't wish him dead, I think he's got the best of intents. But I KNOW (and can explain how) he will do nothing more than prolong the economic recovery and increase unemployment over his term, except by a Godsent stroke of luck. - His re-election depends on it. People are getting tired of hearing him speak. Last edited by Kazeko; Jul 31, 2009 at 06:14 AM. |

Re: Right Wing Pastor Prays for Obamas Death...
Obama = George Bush + Pretty face + Playing into overly Racist hands of the people (yes you can be a racist git in terms of liking a man simply because he is black, it's the extreme opposite of the racist hate, it's still blinding) + Well doctored and read lines from a script.
He is, for lack of a better way to put it, the Worst thing the US has got on it's hands in terms of a presidency, as people have done a 180 on their stance on the EXACT SAME bloody policies that george was pushing, difference is, obama is getting it done with glee from the people, vs the outrage that was seen with george. A well, people that are awake to this are at least realizing their atrosity of a mistake. And they were warned but ignored it.

Re: Right Wing Pastor Prays for Obamas Death...
Said it a million times already, but most of the people who have a problem with Obama from the get go are doing so because he is black first, democrat second. Put them together and you piss off a lot of racists or Republicans (which are basically the same thing since there's not going to be a lot of Liberal racists).

![]() ![]() ![]() Yes I have to say I didn't really feel like even voting in this election because....well lets face it here.....we have the Crypt Keeper on one side with his play to a minority who has no idea WTH she is doing and we have the smiling, young guy who really knows not a whole lot about how to fix things but convinces people he knows what he's talking about along with his do nothing sidekick who hasn't even got his "vice presidential picture" taken because he's far too busy....DOING WHAT? ![]() In my opinion, at the election booth there was no choice for president it was just a sham for me . But hey the "Cash for Clunkers" (ugh I hate when they call it that ) is a huge success. So much so that as of last night it has been suspended because it already has burned through the $1 Billion assigned to it. HOORAY for planning!![]()

Regardless, many of you guys are making it sound like HIS fault. It clearly isn't. He's trying and so many people are attacking him for it.

Re: Right Wing Pastor Prays for Obamas Death...
I think he's the better choice of the bad choices that were available. There should be someone on the steering wheel who knows where to go, and the shouldn't people restricting him to a paved highway. There could be some bumpy roads that have to be taken to get to the point where you want to be, and he should be able to do so.. This isn't really the case as it is now.

Re: Right Wing Pastor Prays for Obamas Death...
To fix a nation's problems takes time and effort. Obama hasn't been in office long, but at least he's doing something to help the country. The only time Bush did anything other than what was on his personal agenda was when his approval rating was crashing like a B-29 that was Swiss-cheesed by flak.
Face it, Obama was and is the best candidate for presidency. I really hate his Vice, but at least he isn't as bad as the alternate. Think of what our country would come to if McCain won, died (Which is very much expected), and Miss Dumb[expletive] became president. Armageddon would arrive much sooner than 2012. In the end, Obama was elected into office and there's nothing that any of us can do to get him out. He has a plan to fix the nation, and he can't do it if we are wasting time arguing about stupid matters. If you think that he can't do a good enough job, then I dare you to do a better job yourself.

Re: Right Wing Pastor Prays for Obamas Death...
the USA wasnt lost to begin with. As for Obama, if he can be successful, he needs to unite both parties on some common ground. I am not a socialist, nor am I communist nor am I a democrat, I find significant flaws in any polarized thinking along those lines regardless. Obama, like Bush was elected by people tha either did or did not vote. Politics is a terrible business and given to all the problems that you can imagine. Although I am not an OBAMA fan, I will listen to his argument. With due respect for his position, he will make mistakes, he will take risks and he will have some success among his constituents, convincing them, that they are not always right about everything. I absolutely cannot stand completely polarized thinking either for or against OBAMA. I do not buy into the race card, the novelty based upon that any more than I would have if Hillary Clinton would have ran or won, because frankly she is more experienced but she is still a Clinton. Try to dismiss the fact that they are democrat or republican, and just see what your elected officials or encumbents are saying. Dont believe all the bullshit press in the US and even less from other countries. I cannot stand UK news reporting because there is a bias against the U.S. and against our form of Republican influenced government. I know a professor that teaches at Cambridge University, she is American but I have heard her take both sides on a variety of political arguments about American Politics simply to stay on the middle ground with very biased Brits. Try living in the UK where anyone with an opinion does not mind telling you what he or she thinks about America or our presidents. It is pointless to respond to them because they like their Ameican counterparts across the pond are as narrow minded as you can imagine. Most political arguments here on DH and in the popular media are rarely of any merit because I think as someone mentioned earlier, they are narrow minded or polarized in their thinking it is more of a place to rant or complain. I am proud to be an American regardless of who my presidient is so anyone that insists on complaining can piss off if they dont want to listen to both sides. I dont buy the OBAMA spin nor did I buy the Bush spin, but I will stand by my president whether I subscribe to his views or opinions because he the leader of the executive branch of my government, even though I didnt vote for him. I am willing to take a risk and entertain any ideas that are reasonable and will help sustain the hope for a better ftuture for my children and grandchildren, but I will not give money to people that can work, have the ability to work but wont get off their keesters and work towards a better America and a better world for us all. If Obama pulls it off, BRAVO, but America didnt need saving, and I want to dismiss the notion that my country was going to hell in a handbasket. OBAMA isnt going to save anything, at best he can chart America through some dangerous waters and to a far distant shore. I just hope we find a better world and a safer world over the horizen.
