The person who attacked him is mentally ill and was just randomly there saw Berlusconi and since he 'hates him' he threw that miniature statue at him. (I think that's what it was xD) so no mafia :P Well at least thats what I heard on the news

A 73 year old man getting his face smashed with a blunt object? Not funny.

There have been numerous criminal accusations against Berlusconi, though the courts have always judged in his favour and for all I know they were right, and he certainly said some distasteful things, but this was ugly.

I gotta be honest, this seems to be quite mild with some of the bs you hear about this guy. I only don't agree with it because he's 73, but I disagree that a "ass-kicking" doesn't change stupid behavior. I don't like this guy, never have, and glad I don't live in his country. I wish this world wasn't slowly but surely wussifying itself by always saying violence doesn't solve anything. Violence is about the only solution (whether moral, or immoral is open to debate) that can permanently solve anything.

I don't like violence and I didn't actually laugh at this story when I first read it (even though I posted several " " above)

I also don't like arrogance........ sometimes it's good to see arrogance humbled. It would have been better, of course, if it was by a non violent means...... This guy really needs to realize that he takes a dump just like everybody else and it stinks.... just like everybody else's.
