Baptist "Human Trafficking" in Haiti

As a group of American Baptist charity workers waits to hear if they will be tried on child trafficking charges for attempting to take 33 children out of earthquake-ravaged Haiti, the Associated Press has learned that not all of the children they were transporting were orphans.

if anyone is suprised..

get your head outa the hole.. this is just the tip of the iceberg..

including what people donate and how a fraction of it, if ever, makes it into the hands of someone that actually needs it.

Watch any major news program and you'll see it within the first 10 minutes. Unfortunately bad news sells and there is plenty of it in this day and age.

Sometimes being the same species as some people makes my skin crawl.

Re: Baptist "Human Trafficking" in Haiti

You know, this is all centered in Idaho, where I am currently located. The entire missionary group is from Boise, ID, the state's capital. Even the local news here is trying to cover up the extent of the process they took to try to extradite these poor kids back into America - some of which were against the parent's knowledge.

Story here

But seriously, they acted like they didn't know it was illegal to remove children from another nation without the parent's approval, or, if they are orphans, to remove them AT ALL? That's pretty much what they're saying verbatim. They also claimed they had never done something like this before...but there's firm proof that the woman in charge of this "accident" has a clear history in child welfare and support services - read the second paragraph of this article.

Leave it to a christian to do the most "positive" things in the most evil ways...
