There are hundreds of thousands of quotes from top scientists, political figures, various representatives, etc and so forth throughout history that are both documented and searchable. What's also interesting is that in attempt to find some of these quotes, you need to use alternative search engines, but a few have managed to pull up the newspaper articles that specifically state these exact quotes from decades past.

A good example provided enough of an effort is put into it all, is this article here which has actually landed on wikipedia after it was exposed a number of years ago after having been uncovered and dug up by a number of people that happened to stumble on it.

I'd also suggest looking up some stuff by Dr. Norman Bergrun, a former NASA scientist whom played a critical part in the creation and deployment and analysis of the Voyager 1 and what he had discovered.

It was also announced by nasa that they had "accidently" erased hundreds to thousands of pictures taken during all the apollo missions. This announcement for the most part went without any or much coverage at all. And what nasa neglects to mention is that all the raw negatives had been sent to Japan, at which point a number of japaneese have not only had the privilage, but the ability to analysize a number of these photos with some interesting theories and conclusions, to date they don't publically state anything about them, however a few of the raw images have surfaced in a few locations, with a number of them still withheld for thier own interests and agreements.
