In one of the most dramatic confrontations since the end of the Korean War, North and South Korea exchanged artillery fire on Tuesday, killing at least two South Korean marines.

It all began when the North ordered the South to stop a military drill it was conducting. When the South refused, the North bombarded the small island of Yeonpyeong.

I find it difficult to trust either side in their claims that the other started it...

I doubt this will escalate to WMDs... that's in nobody's interest.

The US have shown their clear military backing for the South by dispatching a naval group the the area, I can't see North Korea trying anything clever.

Really, it's just the proliferation of the third world war. China is backing N. Korea, the U.S. is backing S. Korea. When they start fighting, we start fighting. Who knows? Things may actually escalate to full-scale frontal assault by the end of the week.

Well to boot... the powers that be have been gritting their teeth for a war for quite some time.. because the expendature in iraq/af haven't been enough to their likeing. What is the fastest way out of econimic termoil.... war, why? because people are willing to give up everything they have to support their country in the beleif they are right.

What's wrong with this picture?

It worked in the past... will it work in the present? Good question considering how much the US itself is split in half.

Frankly the US has been pushing every conceiveable button.. they WANT a war with china and korea and any other coutry that goes against their wishes.....

What i fear however is that considering china's insane power, and while russia is mostly sitting neutral for the time being... i wouldn't be shocked at all if russia sides with china/ nkorea.

Frankly i haven't any problem with n korea either, considering the amount of total bullshit over the previous months and now over a year ago documented false flag opperations that have occured to stir the pot purposely.... i'm not at all surprised by this.. but then again if the public isn't made aware of what really is going on... what better way to spur retalliation then to produce another pearl harbour result.... Claim that you never received a declaration of war or an incoming threat... and then use the devistation that comes to fuel the anger of the public to side with your agenda to fight back.

Mis information is huge..

and now that some people are picking up on the jokes and bullshit.... i have no doubts that it'll be easy going to war.

Bad enough the public and the politicians and people that we think are in power are toyed with like marrianettes/puppets...

Somewhere a few people have been playing the game risk with real people and real countries..... combined with a sense of the game chess and monopoly involved with real money too.

One of them has to be the wisest and not respond with violence. They both know what can, and eventually will happen it if continues. Which is a full-scale real war, that can possibly suck the whole world into it. -> US, Russia, China..
