Casey Anthony has been found not guilty of murdering her 2-year-old daughter Caylee. The jury declined to convict her of either first degree murder or manslaughter.

The jurors found Casey Anthony guilty on four counts of providing false information to law enforcement, which are misdemeanors. It's possible she could be released from prison later this week.

Clutching the hand of her defense attorney Jose Baez, Casey Anthony began to sob as the verdict was read. The rest of her defense team stood beside her, also clutching hands. She thanked Baez as she was swarmed by the defense team.

It's a really weird case. I don't agree with the verdict, personally, but in our system of law the jury did it's job. The prosecution has a dead body, some very odd behavior from the mom, a little bit of evidence linking the mom to suspicious actions and lieing to the authorities, but no cause of death. Hard to truly convict someone of murder with no cause of death.

I think she did it, or maybe had it done, but we can't go back to hanging people with no proof either. So she walks...... Somebody will "take her out" sooner or later, and I'm not talking about on a date.

I'm a maths guy, if you eliminate all other possibilities, the one that remains is the truth and, as far as I understand, the defense was unable to make a single statement which involved the defendant's not being guilty and not being false. After that, the possibilities that remain are in the ballpark with "the aliens did it" on the probability scale, not quite mathematically clean, but I don't think that that falls into reasonable doubt. Admittedly, though, it would have been hard to sit on that jury.

Few facts about the Casey Anthony case/the woman herself:
1) she was approached by a high profile porno company asking for her to star in it while the trial was ongoing
2) 1-2 of the jurors felt Casey was completely innocent (of ones that have come out and voiced their opinions)
3) several jurors felt Casey was guilty, but in law a person must be proven guilty "beyond reasonable doubt" -- they felt the prosecution did not provide enough evidence to meet that requirement
4) every generation has their OJ Simpson

I can see why the jury gave a not guilty verdict the Prosecution did a horrible job of proving she committed murder. There's no doubt the woman is crazy and a liar but they failed to prove anything beyond that.

I feel that some one will bring justice to Her. To bad they will probably get the death sentence.
