Abbas to Resign...
... and with him dies the best chance for Middle East peace since Rabin. I guess all we can do now is hope for the best, pray for the safety of our brothers (of which at least one is a member of this board), and wait for someone to replace him.
This sucks. |

Abbas never had a real chance...just when we were successful at marginalizing arafat...then the little weasel started undermining him......Israel will pull off the gloves.......again

The unwillingness of the Palestinian Authority to conduct what is tantamount to war against Hamas, Hezbollah, and Islamic Jihad is understandable, but it is a necessary step.

Im back...at least for a moment,......and within your post lies the answer to why.......Abbas is gone. It is your own fault. It is the consequense of ignorance and stupidity among ...your leaders. You do not force leaders upon other nations. Arafat is the elected leader of Palestine. You kiss him....The Palestinians will hate him. You kick him in the belly.......Palestinians will love him. That...is the paradox...that you politicians are uncapable to understand. I think that such elementary things should...be understood by the leaders of a nation like USA. But the BUsh government has prooven more than once that they are completly useless when it comes to diplomatics. That is why Bush is on his knees today in the UN asking for support to finish busines in Iraq. Had they used their brain as did Bush father....then there would already have been international troops in Iraq today. Whats more.......Good to see you ;-) Bluey |

No Java you are completly wrong and you know it.
You ...tried to impose a leader on another nation who had already choosen their leader in democratic elections. Wheter you like Arafat or not ( I dont ) this IS....a fact. It is not the first time you do this . It is not the first time you dont succed. Im pretty confident also that it is not the last time you do this. That.....is something ...to worry about. Further more what i said about this: You kiss him....The Palestinians will hate him. You kick him in the belly.......Palestinians will love him. Is the essensce of what Hanan Nashrawi...( A female moderate Palestinian politician eleveated in Libanon, educated in USA active as negotiater etc etc...and....willing to settle the situation) said in a statement earlier. It contains...basic logic applicable to the situation...that anyone with a slight bit of capacity of evaluating political streams can understand. Your government has failt totally to do so. They are incompetent diplomatically.Or....they lack REAL will to ask from the Israelis that they compromise. It has yet been provced again. Change your leaders. Thats my advice. Bluelight |

why blue....long time.....hee hee.....Colin Powell was always skeptical about the success for the roadmap for peace, there are historical precedents. But if Arafat were eliminated today, and it could happen, a full scale war with Israel would destroy the Palestinian nation as we know it, casting them adrift in the very land they have shared with the Israeli's for centuries. The death toll would be apalling on both sides, but it appears that is exactly what is going to happen..

Yep.....especially now since Israel has decided to get Arafat out of the country and as a consequense the man whó was to succed Abbas has also resigned as Abbas...and tens of thousands of Åalestinians have moved to Arafats office to defend him....
Well...evertthing backwards ..everything the wromg way...Yeah that is good tactics. Usa says.officially they dont think this is a good idea...However..I think Sharon does nothi ng not knowing he has support for his actions in Washington. Morons...Nothing else ..Morons... There is only one solution...Internatinal forces occupie both Israel and Palestine and maintain peace. Nor Israel OR Palestine are capable of handling this. The things happening in Israel are bigger threats in the long run to world peace that Iraq was ever. Ps...Ill be gone again for a while again now. Miss you guys. Until then ....Regards anf respect Blueuy |

Sharon and his right wing goverment ... is the stumbling block .... him and his goverment , likes to stir up a hornets nest ... he has a vandetta against the Palestinian people that stems back to their occupation of Lebanon ... the EU has him on their list of War Criminals
