George Bush
.... not wanted in the UK by the majority of the public as they believe he is causing more problems than he is solving
large Trade tarrifs looming for the US also for their outragous tarrifs on Steel imposed on Eu nations ... the gloves are off ... the USA cannot do as it pleases and get away with it .... just watch US companies take a hit when their commodities are targeted by extremley high charges all Bush's own doing

I for one hope to see our tariffs abandoned. But maybe Europe can reciprocate by ending its illegal embargo of genetically modified produce.

Hence ending the illegal embargo whilst technically being illegal to sell. Thus everyone is happy

Yes, but you trade both of them, don't you?
Actually, you're right, it is a case of apples and oranges, considering the US has implemented tarrifs (taxes) whereas the EU has implemented a full-out embargo. |

Totally, totally, irrelevant, and by no standard can our embargo of Cuba be considered illegal. The EU's embargo, on the other hand, is clearly illegal by WTO standards.
But it's a lot easier to point out faults of other countries than to actually buckle down and defend your own, isn't it? |

No garbage, just sorta wondering how you can blindly defend the embargo of Cuba as legitamita but another soveriegn nation cannot have an embargo of the US. Patriotism does not mean blind unquestioning alliegence. Hell, if I could embargo genetically modified foods I would! Whats the problem with not buying GM garbage which destroys crops, takes over natural crops areas, has unknown consequences? The only thing selling GM would help is the huge agro businesses certainly not you and me. Bush is a crook and a swindler. He deserves prison time for numerous activities.

Blair needs to stop listening to bush or he will find his next election will flop.
Were sick of bush here and the protest's before the war show this, we dont agree with his lies on war, he lied to get are soliders in iraq and dragged blair with him, now the quiestion about where the WMD's are is coming to the surface and there are no responses coming from blair or bush, why? cus all they do is lie and they know there are no wmd in iraq, with all USA's satalites and people on the ground and still they find 0.I dont trust US and feel this was all about securing americas fuel of the future, and britian were americas puppydog helping to spread the lies about iraq to convince europe to go along with bush. I feel we have been taking for a ride, and its about to get real bumpy. God speed to all uk armed forces, bring are boys home. Tony. |

The WTO? Oh yeah I really care what some globalist elitist bunch of wanna be slaveowners declare is legal or not. All the WTO's laws are illegal vis a vis the Constitution of The USA. Perhaps if you'd care to become familiar with the constitution you'd see that embargoes/ tarriffs are perfectly reasonable and legal means of protective trade. Something our egalitarian leaders wouldn't or couldn't care less about.

Ignorance is bliss, eh TonyMonTana?
Personally I take offense when you people say Bush lied because he didn't. A memo that just surfaced today links alqueda to Saddam which is good enough for most fair minded people. TonyMonTana, i know you're gonna complain but you dont represent america in anyway shape or form so please keep it to yourself.

Could you provide sources for this claim of yours, porchmonkey? I would be quite interested to see a memo suddenly surfacing linking al qaeda to Saddam. If you can, link from reputable news sources. Also, I see no reason to ban GM imports in Europe so long as the food is guaranteed to not spread (e.g. all seeds/grain are sterile) and are very clearly marked as genetically modified food. Why not let your own citizens choose whether or not they wish to eat the GM foods?

Listen mate, forget memos ok, if there are WMD's in Iraq then please show us.
Bush wants us to think that after all these years (since 1990) America has been watching Iraq from space, from the ground from everywhere. There is no chance that they could of developed any site to construct WMD without USA knowing about it, not only that but it they knew they had these weapons and where they were then how the hell did the Iraq's move all these tons and tons of biological agents and other WMD material without the American admin knowing where they moved them to? At the end of the day its been a while now and i accept Iraq is a huge area of land to search but they must of had some idea of where the WMD were being kept.So why cant they find them? They cant find them because saddam was bluffing about his WMD to keep bush at bay for as long as possible, but in the end bush needed to remove saddam and knowing saddam diddnt have WMD he played along with saddam's line, he knew saddam would not deny having weapons, this made his job of convincing the westernworld that saddam was going to use WMD and could use them within (45 min's)<lmfao. This time next year or maybe this time next decade, will you still think bush was telling you the truth when they still aint found nothing but a old lorry trailer? One more thing, if you knew anything about biological weapons your would know that when there made they leave behind alot of waste, this stuff is not easy to dispose of and leaves alot of evidence behind. How is it that with all americas incredible equipment they cant trace anything thats worth being reported? Maybe as you have seen, the only stuff there find will be what was left over from 1990. |

LMFAO!
I have just read your post "A memo that just surfaced today links alqueda to Saddam which is good enough for most fair minded people." Ok, now he is linked to Alqueda, this means that it was ok to drop tons and tons of bombs on a city full of people? If we attacked every country that had leaders that we THINK are linked to terrist groups then we would be at war with alot of countrys.America can wave its finger at countrys and say there surporting terrist's and we all go along? Why has Bush done a big fat zero when it comes to N'Korea? they pose a much deeper and real threat than saddam ever did, but America/Bush seem to be happy sorting it out round a table than using bombs. So i ask, why could he not have gone this route with Saddam? |

"Listen mate, forget memos ok"
That's all i read of your post because the rest is a waste of time. You have already made up your mind and nothing i say can change it. Now to respond to your N. Korea post. You're absolutely right, N. Korea does pose a big threat. It's an enemy we know very little about. Do you propose a war with N. Korea, it sure seems like you are. What Bush is doing now is correct. Don't sign any of their fake piece treaties and keep the pressure on them. In time we will see what needs to be done, but it's too early to tell. Common Sense lacks with the liberals i guess.

You focus on one of the reasons for going to war and not all of the others? It's clear you are not open minded and I find it funny you try to speak for America when you live in England. I'd like to go back to the good ol' Churchill days were the English people actaully had spines.

Ok, i here what your saying, i also agree bush is right the way he is dealing with N.Korea, after all they have WMD right? This would be a bad move.
So if this is the case why was it a good move to attack Iraq who also have Cough! cough! WMD....? |

How am i speaking for America? im speaking for the many people in this country (uK) that have family and freinds fighting a war most of the people here never wanted? We had over a millon people march against this war in london, that were the people that could make it, there would of been much more and now surport for the war here is at a all time low, untill something is found it will stay that way and unlike Bush, Blair could lose next election over this.
So get it right. |

Didnt you learn with vietnam?? Is oil more important than an american life?? And dont give me the terrist bull sh*t, wheres the chemical weapens??? Dont get me wrong i think America is a great country the problem is you got a sh*** president. This is just my opinion.
