You still havent given an answer about how you measure cultural power.

I was going to write a few things about the renaisance period, roman empire and such but since you define culture as lifestyle I will not bother.

Now if selling your kids to slavery to buy stereos is at any way related to the US culture I feel sorry for you folks.
China is not close to a western lifestyle by far they use bycicles to commute, they are a communist country, they dont vote, they have no freedom of speach.
Sure Hollywood (or HollyShit as I like to call it) has the biggest movie industry in the world but 90% of the movies are not worth the film they got printed on. The music industry in the US is a bit different than the one in Europe sure we share things like pop music but as far as normal music is concerned you listen to hip-hop we listen to dance. American sports are not widespread at the least in European countries we play football you play american football, we (mainly the Uk) play cricket you play baseball, we have formula one you have stock car racing.
I do know that the US lead the western culture but western culture is not the only one. India has its own culture, south America has a different culture (excluding rich parts of metropolitan areas), Africa has a totaly different culture, Asian culture is totaly different and Islamic culture is different. Even in areas that western culture has existed for years there are underlying cultures that still affect people's lifestyle such cultures include the mediterranean culture, the technology crased Japanese culture (anime is an art form not really a cultural difference) and the technocracy of Northern Europe.

Which leads in the whole world? This is a question a 5 year thesis might answer and still with no absolute certainty.

I see your point but I just do not agree. But really it makes no differnce we are a cultural super power amongst other countries and that mixed with our military and economic capabilities are the reason english is the language of choice around the world.
