digerati will become famous soon enough

I think all our advancement will destroy us quickly. And I hope we destroy ourselves and start over without a nuclear holocaust.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki were nuclear holocausts however. Have you seen the pictures of people's shadows? In fact have you seen what happened in Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Chernobyl was nothing compared to those.

None of all the lakes where i live are recommended to go fishing in after Cherobyl.

They had already been intoxicated with among other things mercury due to industrial pollution(much of it comingf from the eastern bloc but also from ourselves of course) but Chernobyl put a definite end to fishing in lakes in most of Sweden.

Animals that are hunted as elk and deer and kept as reindeer are continually monitored so that the radiation level is not to high for consumtion to be dangerous.

This state has been going on since then and will continue for forseeable future, maybe hundreds of years.

If all this wasnt the case i´d have been fishing often and kept fish for winter frozen.

As it is now i only eat fish from the sea.

Given that the atomic bomb was bad but it may have saved lives overall in ww2 however the second bomb was awful and a mistake. Also I can confidently say that Russia and the US would have gone to war if not for the nuke. But the nuclear holocaust to the scale tha I think ^_^ is talking about has not happened and will not happen.

I think it has a high chance of happening. We have the capability to blow up the world around 30 times. That's some scary security blanket.

The nuclear threat exists in today's "terrorist world" and it has been scarier than ever. I see two hot spots from where a nuclear war can erupt Pakistan-India and Korea.
That is one of the reasons I am against Bush being in the white house. If he picks Korea for the next war he will endanger the lives of every human being on Earth. And judging from his speeches he lacks the inteligence to understand why a war against Korea is something that must not happen. I have a bit of trust on those behind him but the recent war in Iraq and the way it was handled has shaken my belief in his entire staff.

On the other hand hey we are all going to die one day so why bother? Humanity has been a successful experiment of nature in many aspects but we are too greedy so I think its only fair that one day we give roaches a chance in ruling this world.
