One of the soldiers that figures on the "prison images" (a girl...21 years old know to her friends as a gentle and good person) has said in a telphone call to her mother "Mom i was in the wrong place at the wrong time".


Now..what im curious about is when she did thumbs smiling up in front of a pile of naked prisoners or when she held a naked prisoner that lied on the concrete floor like a dog in a chain...

Did she do so as a result of her own evil ..or did she do so because there was a system fault within the system where she worked?


If there was a system fault...what created the ambience to allow for this to happen?

A. All wars are the same and prisonguards always torture prisoners.

B. The never ending gargoyle presented by the republican side about the potential threat in all muslims...finally took its toll and backlashed on themselves by producing monsters.

C.The Army rules allows torture but this was just a tiny bit to much and thus nothing to worry about.

D.Human rights? Whats that?



I read today that Bush has privately expressed that he is VERY unsatisfied that he wasnt informed about all of this at once by Rumsfeld...who definatley knew already in January.

Powell is according to Washington Post supposed to have asked Rumsfeld to do something about the issue of the prisons for months with no result.


Usa will soon have a new minister of defense.

Well..it never was a good idea using an old buddy to Saddam on that post anyway.

I think Muslims paint themselves into evil, the same way the KKK does. You will find Osama supporters in the US as well as KKK supporters, and you will find the rest of us wanting to kick both their asses (but I restrain, because it's their right to have their stupid opinion, I just hope they walk into oncoming traffic)

I hope Rumsfield gets canned big time.

There's just no excuse for what was done - it's that simple. These soldiers (and I use that term loosely) just need to accept the consequences of their actions and stop trying to squirm out of their hand-tied nooses. It's obvious they have no respect for human rights, let alone respect for their country. If they were real soldiers, they would stop lying.

I second that. I was contemplating and only one scenario which is very far fetched could concrete the girls excuse. If she witnessed it and was then forced to partake so that she would not tell because she would be at fault also. I will give her the benefit of the doubt because everyone is innocent until proven guilty.
