That's the thing Cartman. I did not personally attack anyone. I simply stated people either have common sense or do not. Some things just can not be explained with facts. Some things are just common knowledge. Bluelight for some reason has taken offense to this dispite the fact he directly said I had no common sense.

I am left wing..right?

You claim being left wing means lack of common sense.
Now as far as im concerned that is a HUGE generalisation and also a severe insult of my intellect.

I do not share your rightwing wiews BUT I RESPECT YOU HAVING THEM:

If you make this generalisation in posts to me...then you do not show me respect....which is the basics of getting...anywhere at all on any issue.

Now..as i said..i do like you..for some odd reason..maybe because you are so insistent on your way of seeing things.....i like people like that...of any political colour so drop the common sense issue..you dont need it to defend your wiews.

They are good enough as they are even if i dont share them.

Well....i'm not very interested in politics, but i usually enjoy reading your debates here on DH. But its not very fun when you get personal either of you.(not Blue and Zero in particular) Hopefully you've just misunderstood each other...those things happends sometimes...i mean imo its sad when any type of discussion gets out of hand...

Bluelight, you do not respect me. Do not pretend here. I've posted nothing in here but the facts. You will not see me referencing religious texts, you will not see me invoking God in my discussions here. Every single thing I've posted as fact has been backed up with respected, trusted, legitimate factual sources. Not extremist left wing hateful sites. You have chosen to ignore the facts a number of times. Each time you do this, I will call you on it. There is no political debate without facts to back up claims. You rarely if ever post anything to back up your ridiculous claims. Speculation on a left-wing site doesn't constitute fact as I've seen posted many times. If you can not handle me disputing ridiculous claims with facts, then you will have to deal with it. You can not spin the facts like you tried to do with Powell's comments.

I stand by my comments on common sense. It is something you do or do not have. You could also call it "Street Smarts". It can also be considered "Common Knowledge". There are just some things that you just know. We know the sun will come up each morning. We know that darkness is black. We know that water is wet. There really are people who do not understand these things. You may or may not be one of them. (Not necessarily those specific things above). When common knowledge isn't available to some people, rational discussion doesn't exist. I hope you can prove me wrong.

By the way, did anyone see Howard Dean's interview on "Hannity and Colmes" last night?

Well in that case..

To be able to participate in a political discussion one must have the ability to see issues in its context.

Some people are not capable of this and thus they can be dismissed .

Furhermore..Reuters news agency...a leftwing agency?

Yeah probably to an extremist...but then the extremist..is an extremist so his point has no value to the majority.

LOL.

As for Reuters being leftist. If you think I am wrong, please explain Reuters taking Powell's comments out of context in order to convince someone like you that he said something he really didn't. The mainstream media does this ALL the time. Since it is in your favor, you do not see it.
