exclamation Please Read: RULES

Hello, and welcome to the Political Debate forum!

Well, most people in America would probably say that Freedom of Speech is their most important and valued right. We support the spirit of that Amendment on our boards. I strongly believe that the free exchange of ideas --unfettered by the intolerant attitudes of some-- is the surest way to come to an intelligent consensus... or to at least have a rousing and cogent debate. And as such, this forum will be moderated less heavily than the Off-Topic Forum. Indeed, I never moderate, alter, or delete any legitimate view, whether or not it conflicts with my own, or with those of future moderators.

That said, I do not want this forum to be another FlameZone. I will not punish belligerence or even some name-calling, within reason. If debates in this forum turn into name-call-a-thons, they will be moderator intervention. Posts that are gratuitiously or excessively offensive will likewise be moderated.

Spam in this forum will not be tolerated.

Other than that, the general rules of conduct as outlined by Zardon do apply. Which is to say, no warez, no pornography, etc.

I also respectfully ask that conversations in this forum be limited to those of a political, economic, ideological, and perhaps even theological nature. Other topics should be posted in the Off-Topic forum.

Well, that's about it! This forum, like I said, will be policed LESS heavily than the Off-Topic forum, but MORE heavily than the FlameZone, and I think that will create a positive and intellectually conducive environment!

Thanks, and I hope you have fun! And perhaps learn a little, too!

Pagh!

Yeah. A nice, un-biased mod is in charge here. Methinks me best keep an eye on this lounge, just to keep things all nice and balanced.

DW, I asked Zardon to offer you moderatorship in this forum. I am extremely happy that you have decided to co-mod this section with me, and consider it a great honor to work with you on this new project.
