stop the bs take the test!

The test! See what you really are post your results.

Mine : According to your answers, your political philosophy is libertarian.

Libertarian
Libertarians are self-governors in both personal and economic matters. They believe government's only purpose is to protect people from coercion and violence. They value individual responsibility, and tolerate economic and social diversity

I was deemed a centrist, which I disagree with. I am pretty firmly conservative, though I do take a liberal position on some social issues (i.e., gay marriage). Let me say that Libertarians, while extreme, do have many good ideas for this country. I personally consider anyone that reads the Constitution strictly, and believes in personal freedom and small government an ally. Libertarians, however, take the wrong stance on drugs, I feel, but I'd much rather see a Washington that pitted Republicans against Libertarians than the current Republicans against Democrats. That would be an ideal America.

"Right-conservatives prefer self-government on economic issues, but want official standards in personal matters. They want the government to defend the community from threats to its moral fiber."

Sexy.

Of course, I've taken this test before, and I know how to get the results that you want.

Not that I would do such a thing, but it's the thought that counts.

Your Political Philosophy:

According to your answers, your political philosophy is centrist.

So I'm somewhat liberal and somewhat libertarian....

I guess that answers my previous puzzlement on why I don't like conservatives......

I've always thought I was somewhere in the middle, but most closely associated with Libertarians. This is what the test said:
But, come on . . . this ain't much of a "test" . . . just 10 questions?

Hmm... I came out at a left liberal (60% on self-gov't and 10% on economic-gov't). That's probably not strictly true, but the test doesn't ask nearly enough questions to fully cover the spectrum - I probably believe in more of a Hobbsian form of government than anything else...

But then again, seeing as how I disagree with most politicians on most matters - and took it upon myself to spoil my last two ballot papers - that'd probably make me more of an anarchist!
