LOL I can't say I am surprised at the results. We should all picket outside AMD and ATI's offices till we get the old CP back.

IMO the CCC is in many senses an improvement over the old ATI control panel. The main problem I have with it is the waste of resources. Some tens of MB of RAM going down the drain here. It's not a major issue for me, but it's annoying. I prefer the old NVIDIA panel to the old ATI one. Haven't seen the new NVIDIA panel yet.

I much preferred the old ATi to the new CCC. Agree with ET3D, it seems so sluggish to respond. I hate to have to make changes at all for anything anymore. The old one seemed to me equally effective and much faster.

IMO, it's close between the old NVIDIA and old ATI control panels as to which one i like best. The new one on both though are garbage IMO.
I only use the CCC because i have to, and i'm sure that eventually it will be the same for the NVIDIA control panel, use it because i have to. It would be nice if i could select two options in the vote box. |

I never used any of the ATI control panels so I can't judge them.
I prefer the old NVIDIA control panel to the new one. The new one is slower to use and it's missing some settings (mainly the stereo drivers settings). |

I've used them all. Both new ones are horrible as far as I am concerned, but to me ATI's new one is much worse that NV's new one for a variety of reasons.
Both old ones are ok, but I like NV's old one better and I use it still.

I suppose "old is always better" I mean old cars, old bikes, but I cant complain about nV's new CP seems better to me than the CCC.

I vote for ATI Tray Tools
I tried CCC (6.10) only once - uninstalled it five minutes later. |

I voted for the simplest solution: old NV. I still use it. Old ATI was fine too, but it's a bit trickier to get to all the options.
Newer CPs all required a lot more mouse-clicks to do the same job... |

My vote has to be for the 'Nvidia Old style'.
The reason being it was so easy to find the options most user require at hand. The new Nvidia cp is way too confusing in my opinion. |

There's one thing I really like about the CCC, and that's the 3D preview. It finally provides me an easy way to explain to people what the various settings do. Most people who have no idea what AA or AF are can understand what they do with this preview.

I rated for the old Ati panel. The new looks better but it is too slow. The new CCC with the performance of old panel, this would be the best.

I voted ATI old panel. The CCC at it current state is just bloatware IMHO. I'm still a little burnt over the mandatory .NET requirement. I prefer the simple approach to ATI TOOLS. All the settings can be adjusted on fly with the system tray icon if need be.
Can't comment on the Nvidia side due to switching to ATI for the last few upgrades. However.. after I pick up one more AGP board (X1950) I'll be going back to Nvidia when I switch to PCI-E and the Core Duo2. |

A vote for Nvidia old style. i think the only way to use Ati's and Nvidia's new CP is getting 4 gigs of ram... WTF with the waste of resources, specially with CCC
Is ther an improvement of usign nwe nvidia control panel? |

I wonder how many actually have tried the latest CCC versions? I hated the earlier verison, but tried 6.10 a week ago and find it pretty good actually.

And CCC compared to ATT is: -slow -takes much more HDD space -takes much more memory -offers nothing more than ATT (CCC has even less options to play with) SO, I don't see any reason why should I use CCC. |

The RAM is the only thing that really bothers me, since RAM can still be at a premium, compared to HD space. The current CCC isn't horribly slow (just a tad), and far as I can see the CCC has more options than the control panel had, when it comes to video (the dual display video options are a blessing), hotkeys, etc. Of course, they could be added there. All in all, if ATI could make the CCC take less RAM or not take it when it's not displayed, I'd prefer it pretty much wholeheartedly to the control panel. (Not comparing to the ATI Tray Tools, though, since they're not an ATI product.) |

Maybe, but if I can choose between 50MB and 5MB, I choose the second option. (I have 250GB HDD with >100GB free space)

That's reasonable, but it's still a really minor point. If this is what will make you choose one solution over another then you have strange priorities.
