To me, Pixel Density is one of the most important things.

I think 1280x1024 on a 17" looks fine, but think 1600x1200 on a 20.1" is KING baby!

I still have an HP41CV calc - crappy "pixel density" but it cost me HUNDREDS of smackers...

Quite happy with my 20" Samsung 204B(1600x1200 4:3) Im really not convinced on the whole widescreen thing yet. I have a 32" LCD(Also Samsung) I didnt feel like buggering about with WS res's that may work here and not there so after having a 19"(1280x1024) I decided I wanted to go back to a good old, no hassle 4:3.

21" hp p1230. I use it at a resolutiuon of 1280x960 at 120 Hz. It can do 2048x1536 at 85 Hz but everything looks too small at that resolution.

I was running dual monitor for a while with my previous 17" monitor but I almost did not use it. It felt too small beside the other monitor. Once you get addicted to a bigger moinitor, you don't want to go back to smaller.

I almost owned a GDM-FW900 24" wide screen monitor but I bought it used and it was busted during shipping. I got most of my money back but it was such a waste. That's like totally an RX-8.

I plan on upgrading my monitor next year. I want at least a widescreen 32" monitor.

My 24" iMac LCD that does 1920x1200 would look better if it was perhaps 22" or maybe 23" diagonally so that the height for the 1200 pixels would be the same as 20.1" LCD's of 1600x1200, and only expanded to the sides enough to fit in the extra 320 pixels.

I'd have been happier if they took their 23" Cinema LCD that does 1920x1200 and used that form factor.

To me, 24" is just too large when I sit in front of it. 20.1" is just about perfect for most folks once they sit down and use it. It's larger than 1600x1200 on a 19" CRT by 2 whole inches and the same size as a 21" CRT running 1600x1200.

Thats what I have and while I was impressed when I got it my view has changed over time. I find the lightbleed especially along the top unuseable and it's all a bit washed out. Response times etc are still good for gaming though.
