I am a bit of a storage freak. I always want more storage but cash is the limiting factor. I only buy Seagate hard drives since they switched to 5 year warranty and I haven't got any problems with their hard drives so far.

I have 2 X 300 GB Seagate hard drives. I plan on getting a 750 GB hard drive soon as the prices are coming down. Seagate will soon release a 1 TB hard drive and that might get the prices of their smaller drives to go down even lower.

I would love to have a raid 5 array of Seagate 1 TB hard drives. I don't like the idea of using a 1 TB hard drive alone and having it fail.

I guessed between 1 and 5 but I'm damn near adding up to 5 FAST. Calculated in GB not GiB:

1x 750GB Seagate 7200.10
4x 320GB Seagate 7200.10
2x 300GB Maxtor DiMax 10's
1x 160GB Western Digital Caviar
1x 100GB Western Digital Caviar
1x 80GB Toshiba 2.5"
1x 36GB Quantum SCSI
1x 20GB Maxtor DiMax ??
1x 17GB Maxtor
1x 10GB Maxtor
2x 8GB Western Digital
1x 2GB Seagate SCSI
1x 250MB Maxtor SCSI
1x 220MB Western Digital

Never mind what I have in USB flash disks (1GB and a 256MB I believe)

Grand total of: 3069.47GB, 3070.736GB if you incluse the USB drives

Guess I'm bit of a storage freak, only have 610GB of total disk space though. A 250GB, 200GB and 160GB SATA drives. Thinking of switching to two 500GB or 750GB drives to free my motherboards third SATA-connector for a DVD-RW -drive and be free of PATA -devices.
