Re: Have you been able to get a new DX11 ATI GFX?

Wish I could get one, but back when I upgraded to my 4850 in October, the 5x00 cards were just out of what I could afford, and I wanted to finally replace my aging Geforce 8600.

Re: Have you been able to get a new DX11 ATI GFX?

For some reason, my instincts told me to jump fast on these. Glad I did. I payed original MSRP of $379 each and they're now $409 at some places, for the short periods they can keep them in stock. I feel bad for the folks trying to get one now and having difficulty.

Got mine on order at umart, they say there is an unknown ETA on them because they're in such large demand. I may have to settle with an MSI instead of XFX, depending on availability.

Not available at all , I will take a look again at the local stores. I predict even if it will be available later here the prices will be 2 or 3 times the original price tag like what happened when 4870x2 hit.

They're back in stock here but prices are up $50 or so

Instead of a 5870 I'm grabbing an OCZ Vertex, New soundcard and Tv tuner

And I was wondering why your specs don't list 5870 you mentioned that you got .

Re: Have you been able to get a new DX11 ATI GFX?

I'm waiting for some competition from NV. Then the prices will likely go down a lot = win for me.

Although, I still need some money for it.., arg :o

As far as the SSD goes, you will NOT regret that choice. As far as which component made the most difference in my last upgrade cycle, it was purely the SSD that made the most difference in my daily computing usage.
