Re: Do you use a digital camera?

I've got a couple of old digital cameras..... nothing fancy, or in comparison to you guys, even "nice", but they work and were free. Nikon E-950 and a Sony Mavica MVC-FD81. I don't do much photography but if I need to take a photo to post in the forum they get the job done I guess.

Re: Do you use a digital camera?

Im not into high level photography... I just like a decent camera that takes a decent picture..Just by Point & clicking.

I recently bought a Panasonic Lumix DMC-Fs62 10.1 mp..This is good enough for my use..

Fuji S100fs, I almost don't leave home without it. It doesn't fit in any other category, voted for an ordinary camera. I also have a F40fd pocket camera.

I actually want to get rid of it for something smaller, As most of the pictures I take are really up close. Likely will pick up a 28mm f/1.8 USM in the near future.

I must say the bokeh w/ f/1.4 looks pretty awesome though.

Re: Do you use a digital camera?

I thought pocket was the ordinary digital camera.

Never used SLR, but I did have a somewhat big camera with 10x zoom. I moved to pocket when I realised I really wanted to take my camera everywhere. That was before cell phone cameras. They are now IMO reasonable for just taking a picture of something when you need to. They certainly have a long way to go yet, but I no longer feel the need to have a real camera with me.

I have a Canon SD880 IS. It's mostly used to take pictures of my daughter nowadays. It got good reviews with good image quality scores and good features. It's good enough for me for now.

No, an 'ordinary' digital is an almost SLR sized camera with a fixed lens. They are normally priced slightly less than an entry level SLR.

Re: Do you use a digital camera?

just an old nikon camera. Not much of a picture taker myself so I don't use it past basic vacation photos and pictures for the forums.

My parents have a really nice one that I picked out for them. Its an "ordinary camera" range Sony with a 15x optical zoom which isn't bad. They really love it and I knew that they wouldn't be able to deal with an SLR so I just settled with getting them that.

It's nothing fancy, a Kodak z720. Pretty good in it's day I suppose, and more settings/options than I ever would use. I'm a "Point & Click kinda guy"
