i edited my earlier post. i can only support pc2700 ram, which is rather hard to find nowadays. would you recommend that i save up $220 for 1024 mb of kingston hyperX ram?

$220 is a stretch for me, but it's just about the highest i'm willing to pay for some ram.

yeah... 2-2-2-5 is the best you can get... I think there'll be something cheaper than that kingston though
