I like it but its not something I need. I really do like the simple design of the old ATi CP much more and I dont need any of the extra features on CCC like previews and all that. I mean those are for straight up newbies and even they wont need it after playing with the settings a few times. I think they should keep it as an add-on and still support the old CP with the new features planned only for CCC. I mean I only use the CP/CCC once after a driver install and never have a reason to go back in to it. It will be a sad day when I lose my old CP for good

I lOVE it. Since I put it up, Doom 3 works even smoother. And I've got only a ATI 9600 PRO.

Very undecided I am... I mean, its sleek and looks sexy and all but it's not that easy to navigate in... (to me at least) and that 3D view thing is total wastage... But apart from that...

Innovation is a good thing. But it needs massive improvement. I'd use it if performed like the classic CP or closer.

I have used it with the Omegas and the Cats, and have not suffered any problems, I am curious though, what it will evolve into.
Or better yet, an Omega control center. (food for thought)

As soon as it encorporates the functionality of the old CP, I will switch to it. I read on another forum the suggestion to have an option for "advanced" and "basic" controls. I would like to see that toggel.

What about the option for installed .net in every way I can think of and still crashes at boot?

Guess what I voted??

As of now:

I love it, its a massive step in the right direction -------------- 11 ----- 8.66%
Its great, but needs some improvement ---------------------- 26 ------ 20.47%
Its good, but I still would like the old option ------------------ 16 ----- 12.60%
Im undecided, haven't installed it yet ------------------------- 22 ----- 17.32%
I don't like it, its a bad move from ATI ------------------------ 20 ------ 15.75%
I hate it, its appalling and I want the old panel to stay -------- 32 ----- 25.20%

I voted the same as the majority.

Obviously I think they made a mistake on this one.

I still hope for the best for ATI, but I doubt this CCC is helping their cause, plus the NV 6800GT price/performance ratio needs to be dealt with.

Forget about the CCC and all the driver "fluff" (useless special affects)-

Put out a video card that beats the 6800GT's price/performance ratio, sell it for 50 dollars less- ($350USD or so), then ATI will be back on track and nobody will be able to complain about anything.

Make all the CCC's you want after that because it won't matter. What counts is what you get for your money (**the hardware**), the money it cost and the performance it delivers compared to the competition.

That's all that matters. Remember the 9700pro? Nobody cared about the drivers then because the 9700p killed the ti4600 and did it at a good price.

If ATI goes back to that business plan instead of hyped up, bloated control panels, ATI would be in a much better position.
People aren't that easily fooled, and their memory is not that short.

The X800 series are great cards, but they are expensive as hell and even if they are "as good as" the competition, they don't beat them into submission like the 9700pro did..

I voted that it's good, but I would like the old options, because it still doesn't have the multimedia extensions in it, and untill it does, I am sticking with the old one.

i voted I dont like it, its a bad move from ATI, but only because that's the closest option to how i feel. i don't think its a bad move to improve the old cp, but so far the price is too high for the improvements they've made. The profiles are cool, but they hardly work for anyone. The preview window is aimed at noobs and deceptive imo. Otherwise its not worth the extra boot and slower response times, not to mention the required net platform for those who don't want it.
Omega's current cp is great and he's cooking up something even better.

i'm a big fan of changes...but this....too bloated. it takes forever to move between menus on my 9800 se. maye if i bad one of them x800 series models it'd look good. fortunately for me i've decided to turn to nvidia for my next video card upgrade as doom 3 and the new madden 05 that came out yesterday do not to do well with the powercolor 9800 se model i bought over 6 months ago. and no before anyone says anything it can't be modded. tried it and from the results this was definately one that didn't qualify unfortunately. so maybe when i upgrade my machine and the x800 series are below 200 bucks i can once again see what the ccc is like.

I voted that it's great but needs some work

They have the right idea, and I like it, but it's kind of buggy. I get runtime errors and other little problems. I suspect that this is not ATI's fault but rather .NET's....
