Windows Master Mixer mutes mic
Hi everyone.
Thanks for the great forum. I have run across a problem that I have not been able to solve on my own and after searching the net for the last few hours, I am hoping that someone may have a solution. I am running Version: 5, 10, 00, 3537 on Win 2000 with SP 4. I have been trying to use Messer to directly record to mp3 using Lame. I have broused the articles I could find about solving recording problems and now I am able to hear audio coming from my mic through the speakers but the input monitor does not respond and the produced files are silent. The driver activated in Messer is: kX Wave CT4760 10k1 [e000] 0/1 as I assume it should be. I have implemented the DSP mixer setups from Gonzalo GutiƩrrez website in hopes that they might help but the problem still remains that when I call up the Windows Master Mixer, kX1 / MicIn is muted and muted again. I have tried this with other audio applications as well and although the sound is routed to the speakers, other apps seem oblivious to its existence. I would greatly appreciate input. Thanks in advance. |

You should not use windows mixer when using KX drivers. Use only KX mixer and save your settings.

It's not recommended. Eugene said that quite a few times.
