simple question - how to: webpage icon?

i'm starting to create another "homepage" for myself to kinda
waste idle time.. and i was just wondering..

what's the code to show a custom icon in the address bar?

this is what i'm talking about, since i don't know what the correct
terminology for it is:

thanks..

Code:
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="images/icon.gif" />
You can have the href point anywhere you would like. This code goes in between your head tags.

Only Mozilla / Netscape 6/7 and Opera support .gif oder .jpg format 'favicons' ... IE only allows .ico files as favicons ... but heck, who cares?

I found it via google, I just searched with the keyword "dragon" ... it was from some kind of webshop that sells fantasy posters.

I don't know the address of the website anymore, but you can get the picture with bigger size from this link ('just uploaded it for you *g*):

It's a DARK DRAGON

http://www.favicon.co.uk/ - Online
http://www.favicon.com/ - Online generator currently offline - but IconForge FAVICO edition is available

If supported, just put the favicon.ico in the root directory - (for a site) - if you only have a FOLDER, then the other method is required
