UberLord will become famous soon enough

Thumbs Up! How 1337 a hacker are you?

Checkout http://www.try2hack.nl/levels/

I'm currently at level 8 - but this level is out of service so I can't continue

BTW, anyone that posts links to tools or gives out username/password details will have their post edited!
Keep this fun by cracking it yourselves

The first one was easy, but level two gave me a server error. I'll have to try again later.

Yeah, they get overloaded sometimes. Try again in an hour or so and I find it works again

I got the first one.

I don't know enough about flash to figure out a way around the second one, which kinda tells me that I probably wouldn't be able to figure out any of the ones after that.

I'm no h4x0r.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. It's not as hard as it seems though, just keep at it.

I remember doing it a while ago when it only had 8 levels, I passed all of them. I don't want to re-hack them just to get to level 9. I think it has 12 now.

There's actually 2 ways of getting past level 4 - neither of which require knowing java. There's 3 ways if you can find a java dissassembler or can easily spot something with say a hex editor.

There's also two ways of getting past level 6 - which is the hardest level so far imo.

I wish they would re-activate levels 8 and upwards - I was enjoying myself yesterday!

I dunno.
Level 7 is easier than levels 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

I'll drop you a little hint - you don't need to know anything about "flash" to get past level 2. Also, aside from levels 5 and 6 all username passwords are stored in clear english text if you know where to find them.

Yeah, I was attacking it with a hex editor, but to no avail. I think I need to get another file, but I haven't found any yet.

Remember that a javascript debugger (mozilla comes with a basic one - venkman plugin is much much better) can highlight any unusual problems

Yeah, I was thinking along those same lines after reading the code-

maybe a different browser would be worth a try

edit--------Something funny happend after my last post above- I had to UNPLUG my cable modem in order to close the DriverHeaven page (only after I spent a while at the try2hack site)- couldn't even close it from the task manager, but it did NOT say that it wasn't responding, weird. Someone trying to hack me? Good luck without my computer being plugged into my modem
