Where to start

Hey everyone,I was wondering where I should start. I would like to make 2d pc games, game console game (ps3, xbox 360, wii), and later on progress onto software programming (processors, ram, graphic cards). Right now though I would like to start off with pc games. I hope someone could point me in the right direction.
