some questions about context switches!

Anyone know what is context switches and why at least portions of context switch code are always written in assembly. Operating system designers are likely to assign some of their best coders to the task of designing the context switch code. Why is that? anyone know? thx.

LKML

Try searching thru Linux Kernel Mailing List about this. And if you don't find anything usefull I'm sure they would answer all your questions and even point you to the source code.
