I like very much the concept but i think you could make some nice buttons for the left frame links..

Well to be honest I dont really think alot of it. its not that its executed poorly or anything, its just very spartan/empty and I dont care for the choice of fonts you are using. Ive seen some of your work here and you could do alot better.
Then again you say its not finished so im sure you are already working on it. My best advice to you would be to aim for a more tech feel and perhaps lose the white and greys -- pure whites have been proven to be an eye strain to readers (corporate research figures), dump the times font experiment with CSS. put a little more space between the header graphic and the --- reviews - news forums nav bar section, work some nice artwork into buttons (smaller text for top nav bar its too large atm). Im actually surprised alot more people dont experiment with layers rather than the much overused frames/tables, its alot more versatile even if it does have drawbacks. Dont be offended by my comments, I am always honest and as I said, ive seen some of your work here and you could make it alot more professional....

I appreciate your comments - I always appreciate honesty and contructive criticism.
As I said I am working on it - the reason it is so basic at the moment is because I am VERY new to html code/frames etc.. only started even thinking about it 3/4 weeks ago. I'm getting there and will get there eventually - especially if I get comments like yours along the way. Thank you and layers - never thought about using them - i'll have a mess around when I have some free time

....i haven't touch the site much....just updated it a little here and there.... i'm bound by the law os MS's Front Page Express...... as well... that isn't white..or your eyes would be bleeding....
.... I did a few different color schemes when i first posted it.... they said that the slightly whitish backgournd with the blueish font... worked best... looked sharp.... but most of those images are WAY old....

Frames - arrrgggghhhhhhhh!!!!!
DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE That out of the way, change the white background to something a little easier on the old eye balls. The first thing about coding web pages is that when you're trying to get "that look and feel" that you're obviously going for then you'll need to go outside the bounds of static HTML. This is where you need to either use Server Side Inlcudes (very easy way) or a scripting language (PHP, ASP, etc). This allows you to have the low maintainance of menus, headers, etc whilst avoiding frames and the problems apparent. For a quick demo, goto my homepage http://rsm.demon.co.uk/~roy I've got a header script, menu script and footer script which all get called by each page. So I just change the menu once and it's changed all over. IE users may notice several problems with my site - tough. It's standards based (works fine in Mozilla, NetScape 6.x and Opera)

Well, there seems to be a lack of color and the design could use some more work. Seems to be too much whitespace everywhere and the greys don't really break up the monotony too much.
