Apache question

Hope i posted in the right spot. I use apache 1.3, very very very new to it, tried all day setting that up and an FTP server as i bugged some friends

click this link... should have been saying click this dead link, as the schtuff would show up within my network, http://m4nicus.no-ip.info but wouldnt sho up outside. I even tried w/ the firewall off... any hints or sometin, took me forever to read the config file... if ya need me to post nething else to help find answers tell me plz this is frustrating

If you've installed apache on a pc inside your home network AND that PC isn't directly connected - like attached to an ADSL router - then you need to forward port 80 from the router to the PC

For FTP you need to forward ports 20,21 and any passive ports you've configured.

This has to be configured on the router

Well, I can telnet to port 80 and I get an apache response from version 2.0.45 - you said you were running 1.3.x

2.0.45 wouldnt work the whole error about not being able to bind or somethin and ive seen stuff about disabling ISS but that never worked... i use 1.3.x yes
