Re: Newegg.ca put to the test...
if it's shipped ground the tracking info is only updated after it goes through a depot and is re scanned if there is no depot involved it may not be updated again until the delivery date

Re: Newegg.ca put to the test...
My Purlator drop off that i got .. (the APC unit) still states that it's being shipped.. lol...
i'm hoping that it's arrived at the very least in saskatoon..... purlator stated they would likely have to take it from there.... or else it could be sitting somewhere considered dilivered.... and i'm uninformed.... just like when i won that HD3850AGP from driverheaven. it was shipped to me via fedex.... and was to have me sign for it.... and instead it was dilivered as far as saskatoon, at which point it was signed for by someone else.... and hadn't moved for several weeks..... no call, no nothing.. had to track it down myself... then pay the remainder of the shipping to get it down to me. This reminds me.. i still haven't received my Driverheaven Key Chain thingy.....

i wish newegg had a will-call service because i could just drive down there myself and pick up w/e i ordered since newegg's facility here in the Los Angeles area is only about a 20 min drive from me. now, if it's being shipped from one of their East Coast facilities, then i have no choice but wait, so i have no say in that. |

So Judas I see your PSU arrived sometimes patience is required. It did take longer to get there then it should have but I hope it works out well for your beast

Re: Newegg.ca put to the test...
Yeah i just received it....
i've actually just got it fired up no more then a good hour or so ago.. After unpacking the psu... i was a bit disapointed to not see any form of worthwhile documentation on the psu in terms of suggested load balancing on the psu... it wasn't at all made clear what rails the main already cabled connectors are on. So initially you'd think Rail 1 would be mobo/cpu and rail 2 would be the pci-ex connectors.... or perhaps pci-ex 1 being rail 2 and pci-ex 2 would be rail 1... or some weird combination.. aside from getting a we bit unsure... i went to corsair website and the psu information page was very much unhelpful, i then had to do a few searches and finally came across the thread within corsairs own forums which labeled the cable connectors which sheds some very clear light on how to setup the load balancing. It would however be much better if they included a Folded up page that includes 4 different configurations and suggested cable hookup methods for each. Say a single gpu/dual gpu/x2 single gpu/x2 dual gpu/triple gpu/quad gpu..... all various forms for the proper cabling and load balancing. This is why i think 2x 12v rails gets a bit sticky. Anyways..... If i get a 2nd hd4870x2, i know how it'll go.

Re: Newegg.ca put to the test...
It is interesting that those type of informative pamphlets get excluded from a product of that caliber.

Re: Newegg.ca put to the test...
Not to derail this thread, you may want to consider checking out PriceCanada.com: Search. Compare. Buy. - Canadian Online Shopping Search and Comparison!, Shopbot - Compare prices - Canada - Price Comparison - Comparison Shopping and PriceBat.ca - Search & Compare Canada Online Store Prices Before You Buy, which check just about all major (and some minor) retailers in Canada for the best price.
I'm glad that your order came through though. Newegg has some sweet deals if you keep an eye out for them. EDIT: Not sure why all of the other stuff popped up when I simply posted the basic url, www.somesite.com. |

Re: Newegg.ca put to the test...
i'm not to sure about my corsair 1000watt..
i'm getting high instability at what was stable on the gamerxstream 600..... and the bios is registering major flux on all the rails. Installed the gamerxstream 600 and all was rock solid again.... so i'm a bit concerned that my corsair is faulty.

Re: Newegg.ca put to the test...
Since things are fine with your OCZ unit, I'd say you found your problem. Definitly call Corsair. Their tech support is like OCZ from what I hear - very easy to work with, at least from my experiences.

Re: Newegg.ca put to the test...
According to the UPS's information.. there is no anomolies seen at all as far as incoming power and what it's outputing. The only thing of note that is changing is wattage draw.... and while it does fluctuate.... it's not in the realms of obvious concern. So long as the input and output voltage is 120, 60hz rock solid and the amperage draw equals the missing factor for wattage draw.... everything is fine and dandy.. so there is no way that the power i'm feeding the corsair is sour in any form at all.
