exclamation NewEgg sucks!

OK well newegg is a great online store, but....

I was wanting to buy this item Sappire X800XT, the one that is stated by all the reviewers as being the pe edition. it was only 485 dollars but i waited and it was out of stock the next day. Now they have the card back in but its 650 bucks!! how can they charge that much? its still not stated as even being the PE version on the specs. What is going on here.

Well it doesnt look like ill be able to get the ati x800xt pe for christmas. Even the regular XT is more money. Will i be fine just getting the normal XT? Is it easy to overclock to the PE version, or does it cause some stability problems?

Oh and what companies make good ati cards? MSI, Powercooler, Visiontech, Gigabyte. i already know that sapphire make good ones.

Does anyone have any links to some good deals? Im getting desperate

The clock speeds aren't even that much different between the 2 (and both are super fast), and you should be able to get close to oc'ing to the pe speeds if you really want to.

All the companies you mentioned make good cards, tho I think that visiontek has a better warranty...you'd have to look in on it.

IT seems like it wouldnt be that hard to oc to the pe because the difference in clock speeds is so minimal. I really dont get why it is so much more money...

so you haven't notice the serveral ones with diffrent part numbers? oem? retail ?etc....

that have diffrent prices kida like the ones for $475 and $450 that are out of stock point being unless you book marked the page you could be looking a a diffrent x800xt card....

also supply will be much better in a mouth or two i still don't get how people are retarted enough to buy at highe then msrp...

the consumers set the price... if they refuse to pay that much the retailers can not price gouge!

peop go x800xt pe $1000 ok were do i enter my CC#

insted of saying msrp is $499 not a penny more... and the retailer holding the bag going awe shit gota drop the price to make sales the "must havers" are not helping the situtation

you realise retailers are makein 1.5-2x + msrp the normal price right now?
I mean heck pay for two get one the retailers are more then happy....

PEs are quite rare and I suppose they only got a few in and, seeing the popularity of the item, they started to charge insane prices. That or Sapphire jacked up the price, well, because they can...
