Plextor M5 Pro SSD Review

"Plextor's SSD range is the subject of our review today and we are going to look at the M5 Pro, one of the first drives around to use Marvell's newest controller. How does it stack up against the likes of OCZ's Vector and the Samsung 840 Pro? Let's find out..."

Re: Plextor M5 Pro SSD Review @ HH

Nice review. I gotta say that this is probably the best drive on the market today. Maybe not the fastest in writes, but the most reliable/stable of all current gen.

Speaking of Samsung 840/840 Pro, big warning to all you peeps: update your firmware! Retail drives "should" have the new firmware installed, but if it doesn't (I can confirm that some initial stock DO NOT as I've got 3 bricked drives on the way out for RMA as I type this), and you haven't updated the firmware, get your ass in gear as you're at risk of losing your drive. You can read up on it HERE.
