Software
One of the main features of the Sentinel is the extensive configuration options made available through the included software and drivers. This software allows for five different profiles for which all of the settings can be re-configured and then saved into the built-in memory of the mouse allowing it to be used with any computer. The different profiles and DPI levels within the profiles can be easily changed in game using the buttons above and below the mouse-wheel.
In the first page of the control panel you are able to re-assign seven out of the eight buttons to any function you desire although some of these will require further configuration of macros and scripts on other pages. It also allows you to configure four different DPI levels for each profile from any value between 100 – 5600DPI for both X and Y axes and to configure motion sensitivity, double click speed and button response time.
The second page contains the lighting controls for each profile and also lets you upload a team logo on to the mouse which is displayed on the OLED screen. There are seven different colour options for each lighting area which can be displayed in three different styles – full colour, breathing or rapid fire.
Macros and scripts can be configured on the third and fourth pages respectively. The Sentinel can support macros of up to seven commands in length and allows for specific time delays between each command. The script function is essentially an advanced macro editor which allows those with a basic programming knowledge to execute more complicated commands. The fifth page contains a library of all of your recorded macros and scripts enabling you to import and export existing macros.
The final page allows you to update the drivers automatically to the most recent version and also gain online support if it is needed.
