CM Storm INFERNO Gaming Mouse Review

Performance / Usability and Conclusion

Put quite simply, the performance of the Inferno is excellent. With switchable DPI levels up to 4000 on two axis the mouse gives us the flexibility of an everyday mouse and then, when needed, the fantastic speed and accuracy of a high performance gaming mouse.

The tracking on the Inferno is superb, with instant response to movement and pinpoint accuracy on a wide range of surfaces. In addition to this, the movement of the mouse is very smooth and although the Inferno feels solid in our hands it doesnt feel heavy to move or use which is ideal for long gaming sessions.

In terms of shape and design it fits comfortably into our hand and all the buttons are within easy reach. None of the buttons felt uncomfortable to use and with a very short time we were able to find them all without without having to think about their exact location.

The huge amount of configuration options available on the mouse was also impressive. This makes it ideal for MMORPG fans and means that those who play that genre as well as FPS games will only need one product, rather than having a mouse for each task.

Summary
The Inferno provides both the casual and hard-core gamer with an exceptional mouse experience. A mouse that can be used for normal day to day activities however when called upon gives us the tools and precision we need for top end gaming and eSports activities. The Storm Tactics button ensures that the Inferno has enough buttons to keep us busy and the excellent macro and scripting tools allows us to assign a multitude of actions to those buttons. In addition to this the Inferno has eye catching looks and when illuminated it certainly has the presence to sit beside any high end gaming rig.
