NVIDIA Surround featuring 3D Vision
and the Zotac GeForce GTX 480 AMP! Edition SLI

In the graphics card business AMD and NVIDIA rarely agree on anything, whether it is the importance of PhysX or how much consumers needed the first DX11 parts which hit the market. There are few areas where they have a common ground but in recent times it appears there is one thing where they both seem to agree, that the future of gaming and productivity will take place on multiple displays. For this reason NVIDIA offer "Surround" and ATI offer "Eyefinity". We took a look at Eyefinity in our recent XFX 5970 4GB Black Edition Limited review demonstrating how it worked and including videos of 5760x1080 resolution gaming in action and now it is the turn of NVIDIA Surround.

In the last few days NVIDIA released a new driver, 260.63 to the public which contained improvements to the installer and user experience for those on multiple displays and 3D Vision. So today we take a look at how to set up a 3D Vision Surround system and then run it through a selection of real world gaming tests to find out the performance level we can achieve on the latest driver.

As with the XFX article we will include a full selection of 5760x1080 screenshots, 5760x1080 gameplay videos and all of this running on three Asus VG236H screens with Zotac's GTX 480 AMP! Edition in SLI.
