ASRock Vision 3D Mini PC Review

ASRock Vision 3D - Blu-Ray 3D Mini HTPC

In the past few years ASRock have been taking great strides forward with their motherboard business, providing boards which are packed with features and top performance at a price which is often far cheaper than their competitors. In our recent X58 Extreme6 review we noted that their latest board was a match for the best Gigabyte could offer, quite an achievement.

As well as progressing their motherboard business ASRock have also been successful in creating some of the best mini-PCs on the market. From their first ION machines which offered a compact chassis with industry leading performance to the more recent feature packed Core i3 based Core100-HT they have constantly impressed us in this area.

Today ASRock are back with their latest mini-PC, the Vision 3D. Based on Intel's H55 chipset and NVIDIA's Fermi based GT425M graphics this model gives consumers a simple way to add a Blu-Ray 3D based HTPC to their home cinema. Today we put that system through a selection of real world tests including Blu-Ray 3D playback, media encoding and gaming to establish if this system offers more than just 3D capability.
