SteelSeries Shift Gaming Keyboard Review

SteelSeries Shift Gaming Keyboard Review

In the world of gaming peripherals there are only a few manufacturers that create products which cause excitement amongst pro and casual gamers, SteelSeries is one of them. When they launch a new mouse, keyboard or audio product gamers take notice due to a strong track record of good build quality, features and performance.

It is no accident that this is the case though as SteelSeries take a huge amount of time over product development, including a significant portion which is dedicated to play testing and tweaking so that aspects such as button tightening are perfect. A prime example is their 7H headset which we saw in a pretty decent shape at Cebit in March however it took until the end of August for that product to hit the market in its final form. Gamers can be a fickle bunch though and manufacturers are only as good as their last product, get something wrong and the online community can move to the competition very quickly.

For SteelSeries the most recent product launch was the 7H headset which received rave reviews across the net, including here. Today we have the next product to hit the market from SteelSeries and this time it is a new model in their keyboard range. The Shift was soft launched a month ago and our review sample of this high end gaming board recently landed, can it live up to the high standards set by previous SteelSeries products?
